  • Publication number: 20240071181
Abstract: A gaming system includes a server and series of player devices each connected to a player and a set of symbols that includes non-termination symbols and termination symbols. The server requests a wager from each player where is the wager is either manually controlled, based on the number of non-termination symbols that are drawn before a termination symbol is drawn, based on the number of symbols drawn by when a termination symbol is drawn, or based on a specific non-termination symbol or combination of non-termination symbols being drawn before a termination symbol is drawn. After the server collects the wager, the server sequentially draws and displays a symbol from the set of symbols to all active players.

  • Patent number: 11731056
Abstract: A bracket contest system has an entrant device connected to a server having a set of matches in a single elimination bracket tournament in memory. Each match is between two participants in the tournament in which one half of the participants are eliminated in each round. The entrant device receives predictions before a start of a first match. Each prediction includes a pre-set number of predicted winners of each match starting with a winner of a final match. The predictions are entered sequentially based on a predicted final rank of the participants, from first place to nth place. After each selection, a next selection is limited to participants from a predetermined valid position in the tournament. After receiving results of the set of matches, a score of the predictions is made based upon the results, and if the score exceeds a threshold, the predictions are declared a winning entry.

  • Publication number: 20220207968
Abstract: A game having a one-step progression (player makes a bet and then receives a first set of cards) or a two-step progression (player makes a bet and then is allowed to select a first number of cards or symbols) with redraw or surrender features. In redraw, after the player sees the first set of cards/symbols, the player is offered some redraw value (e.g., points, money) to get a new first set of cards/symbols, that value either added to the player's credit or subtracted from the player's credit). In surrender, after the player sees the first set of cards/symbols, the player is offered some surrender value based upon the value of the cards/symbols to surrender their hand, that value being added to the player's credit. If the player accepts the surrender value the hand is over.

  • Patent number: 11322002
Abstract: A system and method of gaming includes, after collecting a wager, randomly selecting a first set of cards from a deck and displaying the first set of cards to the player along with a redraw offer (an amount that the player can pay to redraw the first set of cards). If the player accepts the offer, that amount is collected from the player and the player receives a new first set of cards from the deck. The play continues with randomly selecting a second set of cards from the deck and evaluating the best hand from the first set of cards combined with the second set of cards and determining a payout value by looking up that best hand in a payout table and awarding the payout value to the player. In some embodiments, the redraw offer is a fixed amount that is less than the wager amount.

  • Patent number: 11308768
Abstract: A system and method of gaming includes randomly selecting a first set of cards from a deck and analyzing them to determine a combination that yields a highest payout amount from a payout schedule. Probabilities of achieving better combinations of the cards are determined by combining the first set of the cards with all possible combinations of a second number of the cards taken from the cards remaining in the deck. For each such probability, a present value is calculated by summing products of each probability of achieving the better combination by the amount for achieving the better combination from the payout schedule and then adding the sum to the highest payout amount. The player is given a choice to accept the present value or receive the second number of cards to complete the hand and either wins or loses based on the hand with respect to the payout schedule.

  • Publication number: 20220036704
Abstract: A gaming system includes a server and player device. The server randomly selects shared icons from an icon space then requests a first wager from each player. For each active player, the server randomly selects a set of player icons from the icon space. After the server collects the first wager, the server displays the shared icons to all active players, sets a timer, and requests a second wager from each player. Until all player icons are displayed, each active player is presented a next subset of the hole cards and each player that makes the wager is declared as active. After all player icons are presented, a winner(s) is/are declared based upon a score of the player icons of each player combined with the shared icons. In one embodiment, the icon space includes a cherries icon, a bar icon, a lemon icon, a lucky-7 icon, and a bell icon.

  • Patent number: 11183023
Abstract: A gaming system includes a server and player. The server randomly selects and removes a set of community cards from a deck then requests a first wager from each player. For each player, the server randomly selects a non-exclusive set of hole cards. After the server collects the first wager, the server displays the set of community cards to all players that are playing and requests a second wager from each player. Until all hole cards are presented, each player that is playing is presented a next subset of the hole cards. Each player that does not make the subsequent wager is declared as not playing. After all hole cards are presented, a winner(s) is/are declared based upon a rank of hands.

  • Publication number: 20190333338
Abstract: A gaming system includes a server and a plurality of participant devices. Each participant device is associated with a participant. The server generates a random schedule of games then requests a first wager from each participant device. Each participant device makes a selection of a subset of players that are associated with each game of the schedule of games. Next, the server simulates an outcome of the random schedule of games and each selection of a subset of players is evaluated by the server to generate a score based upon the subset of players for each participant and a payout is made based upon each score.

  • Patent number: 6992790
Abstract: A method and system for removing redundant or repeated information from a multiple-page document file is described. A master prolog is created for storing information which is repeated in two or more pages within the document file. Repeated information that is stored in both the master prolog and one or more pages within the document file are identified. The repeated information is then removed from one or more of the pages within the document file. The master prolog is implemented within one or more of the pages to provide a more efficient representation of the repeated information.
