The first and second sets of insulation-piercing elements are arranged such that at least one row of insulation-piercing elements from the first set of insulation-piercing elements is able to intermesh with at least one row of insulation-piercing elements from the second set of insulation-piercing elements when the first and second jaws are moved towards one another along a z-coordinate.
