Patent number: 11948206Abstract: Systems and methods including one or more processors and one or more non-transitory computer readable media storing computing instructions that, when executed on the one or more processors coordinate analysis of data streams from separate computing systems communicatively coupled to different computing networks to build a personalized permanent life insurance product. In particular, the coordinated analysis builds a permanent life insurance product where one or more term life insurance policies, one or more annuity policies, and qualified additional benefit policies are combined into one master product for the purpose of creating a new overarching permanent life insurance product on the same insured. Systems and methods disclosed herein include IRC section 7702 & 7702A compliance testing on the insured's portfolio of individual policies as an integrated permanent life insurance product.Type: GrantFiled: August 18, 2023Date of Patent: April 2, 2024Assignee: AmerUs Group Inc.Inventor: Brian J. Publication number: 20240094632Abstract: Precursor solutions for radiation patternable coatings are formed with an organic solvent and monoalkyl tin trialkoxides in which the water content of the solvent is adjusted to be within 10 percent of a selected value. Generally, the water content of the solvent is adjusted through water addition, although water removal can also be used. In some embodiments, the adjusted water content of the solvent can be from about 250 ppm by weight to about 10,000 ppm by weight. With the appropriate selection of ligands, the adjusted precursor solutions can be stable for at least about 42 days, and in some cases at least 8 months.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 28, 2023Publication date: March 21, 2024Inventors: Kai Jiang, Stephen T. Patent number: 9894717Abstract: A heated vehicle sliding window assembly has a fixed glass panel with an opening formed in it and a slidably movable glass panel capable of closing the opening. Disposed on the fixed glass panel are electrically conductive grid lines that form two grid resistors which are connected together as a series circuit, which is connected between two electrically conductive bus bars deposited on the fixed glass panel. Disposed on the slidably movable glass panel are electrically conductive grid lines that form a third grid resistor, which is connected between two other electrically conductive bus bars disposed on the movable glass panel. Both sets of electrically conductive bus bars may be connected together as a parallel circuit when the opening is either opened or closed by the movable glass panel.Type: GrantFiled: July 11, 2012Date of Patent: February 13, 2018Assignee: Pilkington Group LimitedInventors: Charles E. Patent number: 8515785Abstract: A method for rewarding life insurance policy holders who satisfy requirements relating to insured individuals' wellness includes segmenting a group of insured individuals into a W group that qualifies for a wellness benefit and a S group that does not qualify for the wellness benefit. Qualification for the wellness benefit is based on compliance with one or more of said requirements relating to insured individuals' wellness. An aggregate wellness benefit pool available for distribution to members of the W group is then determined. The wellness benefits may be distributed in several forms or combinations thereof, such as cash dividends, reductions in premiums, free additional insurance coverage for a specified time period, credits towards policy cash value or increases in other benefits. The requirements relating to an insured individual's wellness may include one or more existing health (results-based) conditions or activity-based requirements, or a combination thereof.Type: GrantFiled: September 14, 2007Date of Patent: August 20, 2013Assignee: Aviva USA CorporationInventors: Brian J. Patent number: 6149018Abstract: A compound disc is used to eliminate a secondary slot normally formed between adjacent shafts of a material separation screen. The compound disc includes a primary disc joined to an associated secondary disc. The primary disc and the secondary disc each have the same shape but the secondary disc has a smaller outside perimeter and is wider. The primary disc and associated secondary disc are formed from a unitary piece of rubber. The compound discs are interleaved with oppositely aligned compound discs on adjacent shafts. In other words, the large disc is positioned on a shaft to align with a smaller disc on an adjacent shaft. The oppositely aligned and alternating arrangement between the large discs and small discs reduce problems that exist in screens that use in-line multi-sided discs.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 1999Date of Patent: November 21, 2000Assignee: Bulk Handling Systems, Inc.Inventors: Fred M. Patent number: 5125144Abstract: An extractor for a broken-off tool including a tap, drill, set screw, bolt, reamer and dowel retained within a bore in a workpiece comprises a body, there being an axial bore in the body opening at its top and towards its bottom terminating in a tapered conical throat and a coaxial cylindrical neck of reduced diameter communicating with the throat and depending from the body. The neck is adapted to nest within and protectively engage the workpiece bore and engage the workpiece. The bore, throat and neck are adapted to loosely receive a flux-coated welding rod at one end bearing against the broken tool and adjacent its other end being connected to an electrical power source, whereby on application of sufficient electrical power, the welding rod within the throat forms a weld mass interconnecting the body and the broken tool, rotation of the body withdrawing the broken tool from the workpiece.Type: GrantFiled: May 11, 1989Date of Patent: June 30, 1992Inventor: Brian J.
