Publication number: 20220388144Abstract: A wrench includes a body having a head and a handle portion defining a longitudinal axis. The wrench includes a first jaw coupled to the head with the first jaw including first teeth and an edge. The edge defines a width of the first jaw. The wrench includes a second jaw extending through an aperture of the head with the second jaw including a threaded portion and second teeth. The wrench includes an actuator coupled to the threaded portion of the second jaw such that rotation of the actuator relative to the second jaw moves the second teeth relative to the first teeth. A length is measured from the edge of the first jaw to the second end of the handle portion parallel to the longitudinal axis. A ratio of the width of the first jaw over the length is less than 0.06.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 18, 2022Publication date: December 8, 2022Inventors: Cheng Zhang Li, Scott M. Hangartner, Andrew G. Wagner, Brian J. Doyle

Publication number: 20210146515Abstract: A torque stick and torque wrench combination is provided that allows attachment of the torque stick to an impact tool to quickly fasten a nut or lug to an approximate desired torque. The operator can attach a torque wrench to an aperture of the torque stick to complete the fastening operation and achieve higher accuracy on the applied torque than a torque stick alone. In this way, the combination torque stick and torque wrench enable a greater degree of accuracy on the fastener's torque. The operator can also complete the fastening process without disassembling the connection of the torque stick from the lug.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 24, 2020Publication date: May 20, 2021Inventor: Brian J. Patent number: 5949060Abstract: A high security data storage and retrieval system is disclosed which includes a novel low-cost laser-etched data card which can be read from and written to using a capacitively-coupled interface. The card includes a plurality of first and second electrodes arranged in a checkerboard pattern on a non-conductive substrate. A plurality of conductive links are interconnected between adjacent first and second electrodes of the card. The checkerboard pattern of electrodes on the cards permits each first electrode to be connected to as many as three or more second electrodes. An interface module is provided which can selectively address each first electrode and any adjacent second electrode. By this arrangement, the subject system is capable of storing a greater amount of information on a card. This increase in stored information is useable to provide a high level of protection against counterfeit card production.Type: GrantFiled: September 15, 1997Date of Patent: September 7, 1999Assignee: Coincard International, Inc.Inventors: George K.
