Abstract: Various systems are provided for a head and/or extremity holder for a medical imaging system. In one example, the head and/or extremity holder is a cradle interface pad for use with an imaging system, the cradle interface pad comprising a first wall on a first side and a second wall on a second side, opposite the first side, wherein the first wall and the second wall form a concave recess of the cradle interface pad, at least one slot extending through each of the first wall and the second wall, a curved base coupling the first wall and the second wall, at least one attachment point mounted on each of the first wall and the second wall and extending towards the curved base, and a handle positioned on a top face of each of the first wall and the second wall.

In one example, a system comprising, a support assembly for use with an imaging system, the support assembly comprising, a cradle including a base and opposing sidewalls, and a plurality of pads shaped to seat against the base within an opening formed between the opposing sidewalls, where each pad of the plurality of pads supports a head or extremity of a subject to be imaged at a different angle relative to the base.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide an apparatus and methods for assisting individuals in controlling respiratory rates. For example, a respiratory regulation apparatus is provided in the form of a plush animal toy that operates components to simulate the breathing rate of anxious individuals. The apparatus may include actuators that are controlled by a slotted cam that is dynamically rotated at varying speeds in a determined rotational direction. The actuators move inward and outward in relative directions to move a torso of the plush animal toy to simulate breathing. In certain aspects, actuators may expand outward while at the same time another actuator contracts inward to cause the torso to simulate realistic breathing movements. A processor controls the speed of the cam such that the simulated breathing of the animal toy apparatus can be reduced at a controlled rate to assist an individual in reducing their breathing rate to a calmer state.

Abstract: A steering assembly for a vehicle includes a forward apparatus positioned toward the front of the vehicle and having a first front wheel assembly and a second front wheel assembly. The steering assembly includes a gear having teeth and being pivotable about a pivot axis. The pivot axis is positioned between the teeth of the gear and the forward apparatus. A first front link is attached to the gear and to the first front wheel assembly to turn a first front wheel. A second front link is attached to the gear and to the second front wheel assembly to turn a second front wheel.
