    Abstract: A housing for an industrial sensor comprises integral U-shaped pockets configured to engage with attachment features of a complementary mounting bracket. The bracket comprises an overhang feature on a second end and a snap feature on an opposing first end. The housing can be mounted to the bracket by inserting a mounting boss formed within one of the U-shaped pockets underneath the overhang feature of the bracket, and pressing the housing against the bracket to cause the snap feature to engage with another mounting boss formed in the other U-shaped pocket. These mounting features allow the housing to be mounted easily and quickly without the use for additional tools. The housing can also be quickly removed from the bracket by pressing an extended tab near the snap feature to facilitate disengagement of the housing from the bracket.

A processor is coupled to the demodulator and configured to determine the variance over time domain magnitude samples, perform a complex Fast Fourier Transform (cFFT) on the complex time domain samples as magnitude and phase to obtain frequency domain samples and determine the variance over the frequency domain samples. A comparator compares a variance ratio of the time domain magnitude samples and the frequency domain samples with a threshold to determine if a RF interferer is present, indicative that the communications channel is busy.

    Abstract: A cable and modular connector system are provided for a power and data transmission network. The cable includes a pair of power conductors and a pair of signal conductors disposed in an insulative cover. The conductors are positioned to minimize differential mode noise imposed on the signal conductors by external sources. The connectors include a base module which is coupled conductors in the cable by insulation displacement members. Once installed, the base module may remain resident on the cable. An interface module is fitted to the base module for connecting a node device to the cable conductors via the modular connector. The system facilitates installation while providing a high degree of immunity to noise.

    Abstract: A network system is provided for transmitting electrical power and data signals between a plurality of device nodes. The system includes a trunk cable in which a pair of dedicated power conductors and a pair of dedicated signal conductors are embedded in an insulative cover. Modular connectors are electrically coupled to the cable conductors at each device node. Each connector includes a base module and an interface module. The base module is attached to the cable via insulation piercing members and thereafter remains resident on the cable. The interface module is mated with the base module and serves to transmit power and data signals between the base module and a networked device. Several types of interface modules may be utilized interchangeably to permit the base module and cable to accommodate various types of devices and device drop cables.

    Abstract: A multi-cylinder compressor of the type suitable for use in a vehicle air-conditioning system includes a pair of axially spaced cylinder blocks for receiving a refrigerant fluid therein for compression. First and second sets of pistons are respectively reciprocated within the front and the rear cylinders, respectively by means of first and second sets of rods of different axial lengths. Also disclosed is an improved lubricating system for a compressor which includes a flapper element located near the oil hole to direct oil to the shaft seal for both clockwise and counterclockwise rotation of the compressor. The compressor may also include a slanted surface on the cam rotor for splashing oil onto the compressor housing wall.
