The point-of-sale device is configured to receive, from a payment device associated with a user, payment device information for conducting a transaction, present, through at least one user interface, at least one offer to opt-in to a rewards or loyalty program associated with a commercial entity, receive a user response to the at least one offer to opt-in to the rewards or loyalty program, in response to receiving the user response, automatically fill out an application for the rewards or loyalty program based on the payment device information received from the payment device, and generate a transaction authorization request message based on the user response and transaction information associated with the transaction.
