  • Patent number: 11929151
Abstract: The invention provides a method for predicting whether a binding peptide, which binds to a target peptide presented by a Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) and is for administration to a subject, has the potential to cross react with another peptide in the subject in vivo. The method comprises the steps of identifying at least one binding motif in the target peptide to which the binding peptide binds; and searching for peptides that are present in the subject that comprise the at least one binding motif and that are not the target peptide. The presence of one or more such peptides indicates that the binding peptide has the potential to cross react in vivo.

  • Patent number: 11927536
Abstract: A method of smoothing spectral data recorded by a spectrometer including successively fitting a plurality of spline curves to the spectral data, each spline curve having a different number of knots. A knot position of each knot, other than end point knots, in each spline curve is determined based upon a measure of fit of points of a previously fitted one of the spline curves having fewer knots to the spectral data. The method further includes selecting one of the spline curves as a smoothed data curve of the spectral data based upon a model selection criterion.

  • Publication number: 20240078157
Abstract: In connection with a data distribution architecture, client-side “deduplication” techniques may be utilized for data transfers occurring among various file system nodes. In some examples, these deduplication techniques involve fingerprinting file system elements that are being shared and transferred, and dividing each file into separate units referred to as “blocks” or “chunks.” These separate units may be used for independently rebuilding a file from local and remote collections, storage locations, or sources. The deduplication techniques may be applied to data transfers to prevent unnecessary data transfers, and to reduce the amount of bandwidth, processing power, and memory used to synchronize and transfer data among the file system nodes. The described deduplication concepts may also be applied for purposes of efficient file replication, data transfers, and file system events occurring within and among networks and file system nodes.

  • Patent number: 11921928
Abstract: To resolve an issue related to the calibration of optical cameras in transducer-based mid-air haptic systems, the magnification of the motion induced on an optical camera by an acoustic field modulated at specific frequencies reveals very small temporal variations in video frames. This quantized distortion is used to compare different acoustic fields and to solve the calibration problem in an automatized manner. Further, mechanical resonators may be excited by ultrasound when it is modulated at the resonant frequency. When enough energy is transferred and when operating at the correct frequency, a user in contact with the device can feel vibration near areas of largest displacement. This effect can be exploited to create devices which can produce haptic feedback while not carrying a battery or exciter when in the presence of an ultrasonic source.

  • Patent number: 11920628
Abstract: An equipment mounting system for mounting equipment to a support structure is described. An equipment mounting system including: (i) a mounting plate having defined therein a plate aperture of a particular shape; (ii) a bolt having a shaft portion including a threaded portion and a non-threaded portion that is of a complementary shape that complements the particular shape of the plate aperture; and (iii) a washer having defined therein a scored aperture that includes multiple radially extending scorings. In an assembled configuration of the mounting plate, the bolt and the washer, the plate aperture of the particular shape aligns with the scoring aperture such that both of the plate aperture and the scoring aperture receive the non-threaded portion of the complementary shape, and the particular shape of the mounting plate engages with the complementary shape of the bolt to prevent rotational displacement of the bolt around the mounting plate.

  • Publication number: 20240066590
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to partial integrated core-shell investment casting molds that can be assembled into complete molds. Each section of the partial mold may contain both a portion of a core and portion of a shell. Each section can then be assembled into a mold for casting of a metal part. The partial integrated core-shell investment casting molds and the complete molds may be provided with filament structures corresponding to cooling hole patterns on the surface of the turbine blade or the stator vane, which provides a leaching pathway for the core portion after metal casting. The invention also relates to core filaments that can be used to supplement the leaching pathway, for example in a core tip portion of the mold.

  • Patent number: 11853361
Abstract: A service monitoring system executing on one or more processors may have operations that are determined by control information. Control over the operation of the service monitoring system can be exerted through the use of a graphical interface. The graphical interface may present the control information of a new or existing correlation search definition for user interaction. The service monitoring system may maintain a data store of key performance indicator (KPI) data, where a KPI value in the data store is produced by a KPI-defining search query that derives the value from machine data associated with one or more entities that perform a monitored service. A correlation search definition of the service monitoring system determines how a search of the KPI data is conducted, how its data is evaluated to determine whether a triggering condition has been met, and, if so, determines what triggered action is to be initiated.

  • Patent number: 11835715
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for designing a multimodal photonic component. In one aspect, a method includes defining a loss function within a simulation space including multiple voxels and encompassing features of the multimodal photonic component. The loss function corresponds to a target output mode profile for an input mode profile, where the target output mode profile includes a relationship between a set of operating conditions and one or more supported modes of the multimodal photonic component at a particular operative wavelength. The initial structure is defined for one or more features, where at least some of the voxels corresponding to features have a dimension smaller than a smallest operative wavelength of the multimodal photonic component, and values for structural parameters for the features are determined so that a loss according to the loss function is within a threshold loss.
