  • Publication number: 20210325148
Abstract: A bow sight is provided including a mounting bracket including a proximal end and a distal end, a sight housing and a sight pin mounted in the housing. The proximal end can define substantially vertical slots, one above the other, to provide a first vertical adjustment of the archery bow sight. The sight housing can define another substantially vertical slot. The mounting bracket can be joined with an arm that is movable relative to the substantially vertical housing slot so that the sight housing and sight pin can be vertically adjusted up and down, moving simultaneously with one another, relative to the mounting bracket to provide a second vertical adjustment of the archery bow sight. The arm can extend from a windage adjuster mounted to the mounting bracket.

  • Patent number: 11112206
Abstract: An archery release is provided in the form of a back tension archery release having an adjustable pawl which includes a paddle that can be selectively engaged by an adjuster element, for example a fastener, to set a release point of the release. The pawl can be selectively rotatable about a pivot axis by engaging the adjuster element against a surface of the paddle, which paddle can project away from the pivot axis a first distance to provide a lever that the adjuster element can act against. The release can include a second adjuster element opposing the first and engaging an opposite side of the paddle to cooperate with the other one and further secure the paddle and thus the pawl in a fixed location to set the release point.

  • Patent number: 10948260
Abstract: An archery release is provided including a multi-bar linkage that extends from a trigger button, through a handle, an arm, and a release head, to a sear having a bowstring notch, where the linkage can be used to both set the release to a set mode and a release mode. In the set mode, the sear is nonrotatable about a sear axis and configured so a bowstring is retained in the bowstring notch. In the release mode, the sear is rotatable about the sear axis, so the bowstring can be released from the bowstring notch. The housing can define a compartment, and the bar linkage can snake through the compartment. A bias element can urge the linkage to press a tip of the sear against the housing in the set mode. When the linkage is moved, it disengages the sear, converting it to the release mode.

  • Patent number: 10830554
Abstract: An archery release is provided including a digit extension attached to a handle via a spindle connection that facilitates configuration of the extension in multiple, set, nonrotatable orientations relative to the handle to fulfill an archer's preferences. The handle can include an arm that extends to a release head having a sear defining a bowstring notch. The spindle connection can join the handle and digit extension, and can include a spindle post having multiple ridges, and a spindle recess having multiple valleys configured to receive corresponding ones of the ridges to prevent rotation of the digit extension relative to the handle in a registration mode. In an adjustment mode, the digit extension and part of the spindle connection can be removed, rotated and replaced relative to another part of the spindle connection to adjust the position of the extension to an archer's preferences.

  • Patent number: 10823537
Abstract: The present invention provides an expandable broadhead in which the inner surface of the blades contacts a band on the ferrule. The ferrule includes forward blade stops to securely align the blades in a closed position. The ferrule also includes rearward blade stops to securely align the blades in a fully deployed position. The blades can easily rotate to the fully deployed position when the broadhead contacts and penetrates a target. The kinetic energy used to deploy the blades is reduced given the angle of the blades and the angle of rotation of the blades.

  • Patent number: 10473419
Abstract: An archery release including a release body, a wrist strap and a rigid length adjuster which enables multiple levels of adjustment to the distance between the wrist strap and the release body. The adjuster can be rotatable about two axes perpendicular to one another. The adjuster can include a connector that fixes the rotational orientation or the adjuster about the first axis. The adjuster can be rotated from an extended mode to a storage mode about the second axis. The adjuster can be further rotated about the first axis to engage an exterior contour of the adjuster against a ring associate with the wrist strap. This in turn arrests movement of the adjuster relative to the ring and strap, so the release body is in a stowed position proximate the wrist strap when the archery release is not in use. A method also is provided for operating an archery release.

  • Patent number: 10473420
Abstract: An archery release including a release head, a wrist strap, a flexible connector between the head and strap, and a mounting base including a fastener that at least partially pierces the flexible connector and/or compresses the flexible connector against the mounting base to secure the flexible connector in a fixed position relative to the wrist strap. The mounting base and fastener facilitate secure adjustment of the length of the flexible connector between the wrist strap and the release head to thereby fit the stature of the archer. An archery release also is provided including a release head having a trigger stop post disposed in a trigger well and configured to impair or arrest movement of the trigger without the trigger engaging the material of the head.

  • Patent number: 10436544
Abstract: An archery release is provided in the form of a back tension archery release having at least one of a micro adjustable moon pawl, a locking axle pin and/or a solid handle. The micro adjustable moon pawl can define detents or recesses. A fastener joined with an arm of the release can have an end that selectively engages a particular detent and prevents rotation of the pawl to thereby set a release point of the release. The locking axle pin can be an axle with first and second ends and a threaded intermediate portion that engages threaded holes in an arm of the release to secure the arms a fixed distance from one another, while the ends can allow the hood to freely rotate about them. The solid handle can extend between an archer's digits, and can be void of any internal holes therein.

  • Patent number: 8869781
Abstract: A hybrid archery release including a release body pivotally joined with a roller defining a roller axis, a wrist strap, and a flexible tether extending between and joining the roller and the wrist strap. The release body can be a back tension release body and can have a body including a handle, and the release body can selectively rotate about the roller axis when the handle is engaged by an archer so that the release releases a bowstring held thereby upon such selective rotation. The release also can be configured to remain in a cocked mode as the release is used to draw a bowstring. A method also is provided for drawing and releasing a bowstring with the assistance of the hybrid release.

  • Patent number: 8864842
Abstract: A stent is provided that is able to resist clogging from cumulative matter found within a fluid that passes therethrough. The stent includes a mass moveably disposed therein, wherein movement of the stent tends to dislodge any cumulative matter accumulated within the stent. As a result, the device is able to remain resident within the patient for an extended period of time before becoming clogged and needing to be replaced.
