  • Publication number: 20240298707
Abstract: An aerosol delivery device includes an electrical power source, an induction receiver configured to receive a substrate including an aerosol precursor composition such that the induction receiver is in proximity to the substrate, and a wireless power transmitter including an induction transmitter. The induction transmitter is configured to removably receive the induction receiver such that the induction transmitter surrounds the induction receiver. The induction transmitter receive electrical current from the electrical power source that causes the induction transmitter to generate an oscillating magnetic field, and the induction receiver generates heat via eddy currents induced at the induction receiver when exposed to the oscillating magnetic field and thereby heats the aerosol precursor composition to produce an aerosol. Related methods are also provided.

  • Patent number: 12034245
Abstract: An electrical connector having a housing with positioning projections extending from a first surface. A terminal receiving cavity is provided in the housing. An opening is provided in the first surface and extends to the terminal receiving cavity. A terminal is positioned in the terminal receiving cavity. The terminal has a facing securing face. A terminal retainer is movably mounted to the first surface of the housing. The terminal retainer has a terminal retention projection and retainer positioning projections. As the terminal retainer is moved to a second position, the terminal retention projection cooperates with the securing face of the terminal to prevent movement of the terminal and the retainer positioning projections of the terminal retainer cooperate with the positioning projections of the housing to prevent the movement of the terminal retainer in a direction which is in line with a longitudinal axis of the housing.

  • Publication number: 20240209856
Abstract: An apparatus and methods for a rotor pack are provided for a positive displacement supercharger that produces greater engine power output without loss of best seal between the rotors or between the rotors and an interior surface of an enclosing case. The rotors include relief zones and cupped portions at an intake airflow side of each lobe comprising the rotors. The relief zones allow additional airflow to enter the rotor pack while the cupped portions scoop additional airflow into the rotor pack during operation of the supercharger. Tapered radius portions of an enclosing case allow additional airflow to be dragged into the rotor pack. Pressure relief portions on a rotor bearing plate and angled portions on each lobe extend compression events during operation of the rotor pack. The angled portions reduce a margin of the lobes to sharpened edges without affecting the diameter of the margin.

  • Publication number: 20240212262
Abstract: A 3D conversation system can facilitate 3D conversations in an augmented reality environment, allowing conversation participants to appear as if they are face-to-face. The 3D conversation system can accomplish this with a pipeline of data processing stages, which can include calibrate, capture, tag and filter, compress, decompress, reconstruct, render, and display stages. Generally, the pipeline can capture images of the sending user, create intermediate representations, transform the representations to convert from the orientation the images were taken from to a viewpoint of the receiving user, and output images of the sending user, from the viewpoint of the receiving user, in synchronization with audio captured from the sending user. Such a 3D conversation can take place between two or more sender/receiving systems and, in some implementations can be mediated by one or more server systems. In various configurations, stages of the pipeline can be customized based on a conversation context.

  • Publication number: 20240126869
Abstract: A system for providing a human interface device firewall (HID-F) is disclosed, including a device detector to detect the presence of a human interface device and to turn on a human interface device firewall if a human interface device is detected. An interceptor intercepts one or more inputs and transmit the one or more inputs to a malicious input engine configured to analyze the one or more inputs for malicious input. If the input is deemed safe the one or more inputs are sent to a host operating system for processing. An encrypted data store receives and stores the one or more inputs from the malicious input engine. • Publication number: 20240113536
Abstract: A contact system for electrically connecting a device having an arcuate wall with a docking station having a linear wall. The contact system includes a first contact positioned in the device and a second contact positioned in the docking station. The first contact has a contoured contact engagement surface with a contoured contact engagement surface arc which is essentially the same as an arcuate wall arc of the arcuate wall of the device. The second contact has a resilient contact arm which engages the contoured contact engagement surface of the first contact when the device is inserted into the docking station. The engagement of the resilient contact arm of the second contact and the contoured contact engagement surface of the first contact provides a positive electrical connection between the first contact and the second contact and compensates for angular misalignment between the device with the docking station.
