  • Patent number: 6193405
Abstract: A method of mixing viscous fluids is disclosed. The method comprises rotating a mixing apparatus (20) in a container (42) of fluid (44). The mixing apparatus comprises a cage (21) located at the end of a shaft (22). The cage (21) comprises a central circular disc (24) with an outer edge (43) and top (38) and bottom (40) sides. A number of vanes (26) extend from each side of the disc (24), the vanes (26) spacedly located near the outer edge of the plate. The free ends of the vanes (26) are connected by a hoop (38, 40) to maintain their spaced relationship.

  • Patent number: 5622008
Abstract: An extruded weatherstrip of an elastomeric material formed by the polymerization of ethylene propylene and diene monomers capable of adapting to the surface contour of a retention flange. The weatherstrip includes a foot of pliable uncured elastomeric material and a seal member of cured elastomeric material formed integral with said uncured foot. The seal member has a retention member which forces the foot within imperfections and variations in the retention flange to provide a weather resistant seal with the retention flange.

  • Patent number: 5479849
Abstract: A coffee brewing machine which allows the coffee to be more rapidly removed from the lower brewing chamber by providing a vent opening which opens to relieve the vacuum and allows the coffee to be discharged. In one embodiment, the vent opening is opened and closed by a plug on the upper brewing chamber. On another embodiment the vent hole is opened and closed by an actuator. In a third embodiment, a portion of the coffee filter serves as the vent hole.

  • Patent number: 5151119
Abstract: A method of forming glass containers, including the steps of drying a stream of air, passing the dried air into a vacuum-insulated mixing chamber, evaporating liquid cryogen in the mixing chamber, allowing the resulting cryogen vapor to mix with the air to form a mixture at a temperature below -20.degree. C., passing the gas mixture into a vacuum-insulated manifold, and causing the gas mixture to flow from the manifold and into the insides of glass containers being formed in molds to cool the containers.
