    Abstract: A process for the preparation of 1,3-bis(allylamino)propane is provided. According to one aspect, the process for the preparation of 1,3-bis(allylamino)propane includes i) forming a reaction mixture containing allylamine (CH2?CH2CH2NH2) and a difunctional propane, (ii) separating a 1,3-bis(allylamino)propane product from the reaction mixture, and (iii) recovering any excess, unreacted allylamine from the reaction mixture.
