  • Publication number: 20060041093
Abstract: Polymeric compositions for semiconductor applications comprising 10 to 99 wt. % of norbornene-type cycloolefin monomers represented by one or more of Formulae I(a), I(b), and optionally I(c) and/or I(d), 0.0005 to 0.5 wt. % of an addition polymerization procatalyst, and optionally: up to 0.5 wt. % of a cocatalyst, up to 59 wt. % of a crosslinking monomer, up to 50 wt. % of a viscosifier, up to 20 wt. % of a thixotropic additive(s), up to 80 wt. % of a filler, up to 10 wt. % of an antioxidant, and up to 0.6 wt. % of an antioxidant synergist, the total of the components of the formulation adding up to 100%. Such formulations are mass polymerized, or cured, to form polymeric compositions that have properties desirable for a variety of specific electronic, microelectronic, optoelectronic and micro-optoelectronic applications such as die attach adhesives, underfill materials, prepreg binders, encapsulants, protective layers, and other related applications.

  • Publication number: 20050263091
Abstract: A door-attached pet enclosure apparatus includes a first housing portion attached to a door. A group of sidewall panels and a group of roof panels are retained in the first housing portion when the apparatus is in a folded-up, storage condition and are erected when the apparatus is in the extended, pet-enclosure condition. A second housing portion is attached to the first housing portion. Roof-to-sidewall securing means secure the roof panels to the sidewall panels when the apparatus is in an extended, pet-enclosure condition. When the apparatus is in the extended, pet-enclosure condition, the apparatus provides a pet enclosure. When used in conjunction with a conventional pet access portal in the door, the conventional pet access portal provides an access portal for entry of a pet into the pet enclosure and for exit of the pet from the pet enclosure to outside.

  • Publication number: 20050249884
Abstract: A method for treating wood having a high extractive content is disclosed. The method generally comprises applying to the wood a coating comprising a water-based polyurethane dispersion and a crosslinker. The dispersion can be cured and one or more additional coatings can be applied. The method results in reduced migration of extractives to the surface of the wood, improved adhesion and/or reduced staining of the wood.
