Patent number: 10940498Abstract: A spray gun is presented. The spray gun includes a fluid applicator configured to receive a pressurized liquid through an inlet and disperse the pressurize liquid through an outlet. The fluid applicator includes a body defining a fluid path. The fluid applicator includes a valve assembly with a first end portion opposite of a second end portion configured to be movable between a first position and a second position. The second end portion is configured to be in fluidic contact with the pressurized liquid at the first position. Both the first end portion and the second end portion are configured to be in fluidic contact with the pressurized liquid at the second position. The first end portion includes a portion of a blocking member configured to contact a seat within the body. The second end portion includes a distal portion of a guide.Type: GrantFiled: September 14, 2017Date of Patent: March 9, 2021Assignee: Wager Spray Tech CorporationInventor: Brian L. Fideler

Patent number: 7171014Abstract: A hearing aid having a battery door seal that substantially reduces or eliminates unwanted air flow from and into a battery compartment is provided. Eliminating unwanted air flow removes a potential source of acoustic feedback and provides significant improvement in frequency response of the hearing aid. The hearing aid includes a battery compartment with sidewalls that have a step joint formed between an opening in a faceplate to the battery compartment and a substantially flat portion of the sidewalls. The battery door has a lip that sets on the step joint when the battery door closes providing an air seal around a substantial portion of the battery compartment. A thin slit is provided between the faceplate and the battery door behind the end of the battery door, where the battery door is connected to the faceplate by a hinge to provide appropriate air flow for proper battery operation.Type: GrantFiled: October 31, 2002Date of Patent: January 30, 2007Assignee: Starkey Laboratories, Inc.Inventors: Nelson Morales, Brian L. Fideler, Mike K. Sacha

Publication number: 20040052390Abstract: An interface actuator is shown that guides a data transmission line to a programming interface only when the interface actuator is in a certain desired actuation state. Incorrect insertion of the data transmission line is substantially prohibited, and potential damage to the data transmission line is minimized. Further, in one embodiment, after the data transmission line has been guided into place, programming can be performed while the battery is in place.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 12, 2002Publication date: March 18, 2004Inventors: Nelson Morales, Jeffrey F. Larson, Brian L. Fideler

Patent number: 5782841Abstract: A tunneling tool for subcutaneous lead placement which includes a carrier capsule and a tunneling rod. The capsule has a bottom section and a hinged cover section which together provide an enclosure to confine the connectors on one or more leads. The capsule is provided with a latching mechanism and is opened by manually deflecting the bottom section to release the latching mechanism. The capsule is provided with a releasable catch at the forward end thereof for pivotally attaching the capsule end of a tunneling rod.Type: GrantFiled: August 10, 1993Date of Patent: July 21, 1998Assignee: Medtronic, Inc.Inventors: James A. Ritz, Brian L. Fideler

Patent number: 5366494Abstract: A method and apparatus for implantation of an electrode system. The apparatus includes a pacing lead and an extender, both of which are provided with internal stylet lumens. When coupled to one another, the stylet lumen of the extender is in communication with the stylet lumen of the lead, allowing passage of a stylet through both lead and extender, while coupled together.Type: GrantFiled: April 30, 1993Date of Patent: November 22, 1994Assignee: Medtronic, Inc.Inventors: Timothy W. Holleman, Clare P. Ulrich, Brian L. Fideler

Patent number: 5327906Abstract: A control handle for a steerable stylet or guidewire which is specifically adapted to facilitate one-hand operation by providing a rear gripping portion adapted to be held in the palm of the operator's hand and gripped by the last three fingers, and having a rotatable control sleeve for actuation by the thumb and forefinger of the operator's hand, the control sleeve having internal actuating threads meshing with the threads of a slide which is fixed to the proximal end of a stylet control wire for permitting adjustment of the curvature of the distal tip portion of the stylet. The stylet, control wire and slide are removable from the rest of the handle assembly, to allow for replacement or interchange of stylets.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 1993Date of Patent: July 12, 1994Assignee: Medtronic, Inc.Inventor: Brian L.
