  • Patent number: 12228697
Abstract: The present disclosure describes various embodiments of systems, apparatuses, and methods for large-scale processing of weather-related data. For one such system, the system comprises a database of weather-related data providing from at least one weather monitoring station and at least one processor for coordinating a data processing job for processing a set of input weather-related data from the database. Accordingly, the input data comprises sensor data from the at least one weather monitoring station positioned on an open shoreline during a hydrodynamic event, weather model data for the hydrodynamic event, and at least one of air-craft reconnaissance data or satellite reconnaissance data regarding the hydrodynamic event, wherein the at least one processor is configured to assimilate the input data and generate, using machine learning, an improved weather prediction model for the hydrodynamic event. Other systems, apparatuses, and methods are also provided.

  • Patent number: 12211096
Abstract: A computer-implemented method of continuously updating information about a customer approved for a mortgage, the customer associated with a customer identification number. In one aspect, the method may include monitoring information accessed from a blockchain corresponding to the customer identification number, the information used to determine the customer is approved for a mortgage. In addition, the method may further include receiving new information about the customer, the new information used to determine the customer is approved for a mortgage. Further, the method may include updating a block of the blockchain to include the new information and recalculating the amount in which the customer is approved for a mortgage based upon the new information received.

  • Patent number: 5734528
Abstract: The present invention provides an improved actuator arm assembly including scalloped locking flanges with indentations for longitudinal, perpendicular, and torsional support, an injection molding for precisely locating and fixing a motor coil bobbin, motor coil wires, magnetic latch striker plate, and a crash stop to an actuator arm. Apertures on the actuator arm allow the plastic molding to pass through and lock the actuator arm to the motor coil bobbin together. The magnetic latch striker plate fixably parks the actuator arm in the disc drive assembly. Locating apertures of various shapes in the motor coil bobbin adds further stability and aids in interlocking the plastic molds around the motor coil bobbin. Furthermore, to reduce the height of the disc drive, protect the lead wires from being unduly stressed during the formation of the mold, and increase wire strength to tolerate stresses during testing and assembly, another embodiment of the invention utilizes insulating sleeves around the lead wires.

  • Patent number: 5337202
Abstract: The present invention is apparatus for interfacing the actuator arm assembly to control and signal processing circuits mounted external to the disc drive casing. The invention provides a sealed connective interface which protects the integrity of the "clean room" environment in which selected disc drive components function.

  • Patent number: 5267376
Abstract: Apparatus of the disclosure for securing a printed circuit cable to the actuator arm in a disc drive described. The apparatus is designed to effectuate bias minimization and bias consistency during repeated operation of the disc head assembly. Additionally, the printed circuit cable is attached without using adhesive.

  • Patent number: 5177650
Abstract: A disc drive assembly includes a brushless direct current drive motor having a stationary shaft and a hub rotatably mounted about the stationary shaft by upper and lower bearings. The hub includes an interior space for housing a stator which has magnetically active parts for magnetic interaction with a permanent magnet mounted on an inner surface of the hub. The brushless drive motor is releasably mounted on a disc drive base member having a centrally located boss. The boss cooperates with a lower surface of a stator support for maintaining the stator of the drive motor in spaced relation with respect to the disc drive base member so that a printed circuit connector may be disposed between the stator and the disc drive base member proximate the stator winding.

  • Patent number: 4098337
Abstract: Improved injectivity profiles and/or vertical conformance in flooding heterogeneous formations containing high permeability zones is obtained by injecting an aqueous polyacrylamide solution and an aqueous formaldehyde solution into the formation and allowing the polyacrylamide to react with the formaldehyde in the relatively high permeability zones to form a gel. Thereafter, improved sweep efficiency is realized in displacing hydrocarbon from the lesser permeability zones.

  • Patent number: 4039485
Abstract: Metals can be removed from aqueous solutions by contacting such solutions with a composition formed by reacting polyisocyanurate salts with synthetic resins. The resulting composition contains polyisocyanurate salt groups which act as exchange sites for removing the metals from solution. Regeneration by treatment with suitable inorganic metal salts and use of chloromethylated synthetic resins in the forming of the polymer are utilized in preferred embodiments.
