Patent number: 12284445Abstract: Methods and systems for calibrating a transmission electron microscope are disclosed. A fiducial mark on the sample holder is used to identify known reference points so that a current collection area and a through-hole on the sample holder can be located. A plurality of beam current and beam area measurements are taken, and calibration tables are extrapolated from the measurements for a full range of microscope parameters. The calibration tables are then used to determine electron dose of a sample during an experiment at a given configuration.Type: GrantFiled: February 9, 2024Date of Patent: April 22, 2025Assignee: Protochips, Inc.Inventors: Franklin Stampley Walden, II, John Damiano, Jr., David P. Publication number: 20250049467Abstract: A method of suturing a trocar path incision in a tissue of a patient with an obturator includes inserting the obturator through the tissue such that a shaft of the obturator extends through a tissue opening about the trocar path incision and a distal tip of the obturator is positioned within a cavity of the patient. The method also includes directing the suture via a suturing feature with the obturator inserted through the tissue in order to direct the suture relative to the tissue. Furthermore, the method includes closing the tissue opening about the trocar path incision with the suture.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 16, 2024Publication date: February 13, 2025Inventors: Frederick E. Publication number: 20220283883Abstract: A method for distributed processing involves receiving a graph (G) of targets and of influencers, with each influencer related to at least one target, receiving an action graph of actions performed by one or more of the influencers, and key partitioning G across shards. The method further involves transposing the first graph (G) to obtain a first transposed graph (GT), value partitioning GT across the shards, storing the action graph on multiple shards, issuing, to a shard, a request specifying an influencer, to perform an intersection, receiving a response to the request of a set of influencers each of which is related to a target, and determining whether to send a recommendation to the target based on the response.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 24, 2022Publication date: September 8, 2022Inventors: Ajeet Grewal, Siva Gurumurthy, Venumadhav Satuluri, Pankaj Gupta, Brian A.
