  • Publication number: 20240095259
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for storing a first data object comprising a first set of immutable components, the first data object being associated with a corresponding second data object stored by a remote replication system. A difference is determined between the first set of immutable components of the first data object and a second set of immutable components of the corresponding second data object. A subset of immutable components is identified from the first set of immutable components based on the difference. The subset of immutable components from the first set of immutable components is provided to the remote replication system over a communication network.

  • Publication number: 20220286431
Abstract: A domain name system (DNS) resolver includes a processor and a non-transitory computer-readable media storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, causes the processor to perform operations including receiving, from a client device, a request for an internet protocol (IP) address associated with a domain name, determining the IP address associated with the domain name, sending first data defining the IP address associated with the domain name to the client device, and sending second data defining the IP address associated with the domain name to a firewall device, the second data including an identification of the client device.

  • Publication number: 20130254614
Abstract: A system and method for error tolerant content delivery is provided. A data file for transmission including metadata and data is received. The metadata includes mandatory portions and optional portions. The file is parsed into packets and transmitted as a data stream to a plurality of receiver devices, which may look for transmission errors in the control data of the data stream. Data streams comprising errors are discarded; otherwise, the receiver device converts the data stream into the native file format and stores it. The system may bifurcate each data file into the common encrypted content and the uniquely encrypted portion. The commonly encrypted portion of the file may be transmitted to a plurality of receiver devices using a multicast transmission medium, and the relatively small uniquely encrypted portions may be transmitted using a unicast method to each receiver individually. The receiver device may then reconstitute the DRM data file.

  • Patent number: 8542593
Abstract: In one embodiment of the invention, a system and method for error tolerant delivery of data is provided. A data file is received for transmission which includes metadata and data. The metadata includes mandatory portions and optional portions, which are grouped together, respectively. The mandatory portions of the metadata include file control data. The file is parsed into packets and transmitted as a data stream to a plurality of receiver devices. In some cases this data stream may be transmitted multiple times for redundancy. Once the data stream is received, the receiver device may look for transmission errors in the control data of the data stream. If such an error is present the data stream is discarded; otherwise, the receiver device converts the data stream back into the native file format and stored for later playback or queued processing.

  • Publication number: 20130043079
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of a multi-scale system and method comprise at least two scale elements with respective scale readouts and control logic. The control logic may be configured to activate the scale elements and weight readouts concurrently throughout a selected period of time as a result of a single transaction. The system may preferably be operated within a travel service facility, such as an airline or bus terminal, for allowing a traveler to simultaneously and independently weigh multiple pieces of luggage, and redistribute the contents therebetween prior to checking the luggage with any travel service within the travel service facility. Each scale platform may include a cage element adapted to provide lateral support and stabilization for the object placed on the respective scale platform. The system may include a network connection by which the system can be remotely controlled, monitored and updated from an off-site location.

  • Publication number: 20070292590
Abstract: An exemplary dried, meat-based product includes meat and plant seed where the plant seed comprises at least approximately 3% caffeine by weight. For example, an exemplary product includes guaranĂ¡ plant seed. According to various products and processes, plant seed may be provided as a powder.

  • Publication number: 20070206545
Abstract: An uplink access method in a mobile subscriber station of a broadband wireless access communication system prioritizes uplink bandwidth allocation according to QoS types of requested service. A scheduling priority is assigned to each type of service flow to guarantee the highest data rate for the high QoS service flows, and then the uplink data grants are scheduled based on this assigned priority. By assigning a priority to each connection based on the service type flow, the higher data rate connections will always have the opportunity to transmit uplink data to fulfill the high data rate QoS requirement, and fragmentation will occur only on the last lowest priority Connection ID (CID) based on the size of the last remaining data grant. The uplink access method further prevents the high priority service from stealing bandwidth from data grants intended for lower priority services by identifying when the data grant is mismatched from the amount requested by the lower level services.
