A computer software product and method are also provided for real-time capture of students' interactions with an online homework and grading system to produce timely updates to statistics on time spent answering questions. A computer program product and method are further provided to allow statistical data to be presented from WebAssign's online homework system without significantly increasing the IO requirements of the application database server.
