  • Publication number: 20170195373
Abstract: Embodiments of the systems and methods disclosed herein enable automated and customized insertion of advertisements in real-time and in response to a request for a content file. Purveyors of content, such as audio and video, often use advertisements to ensure profitability. Embodiments enable users to customize the location(s) for advertisement insertion, and further embodiments allow for real-time insertion of ads, the ads can further be customized to the ad recipient. Real-time, automated delivery improves current technology in several ways by, for example, eliminating the need to manually inserting or choosing advertisements, customizing advertisement delivery to the content recipient, improving the speed of delivery of ad-supported content, giving users the ability to customize the location of advertisement insertion, thereby improving the final ad-supported product by inserting ads in logical, non-pre-planned locations of content files.

  • Patent number: 7892505
Abstract: A hydrometallurgical process for the treatment of complex silver-bearing sulfide ores and concentrates that recovers substantially all silver, lead, antimony, zinc, copper and sulfur, along with the chemical reagents utilized during the process. Finely ground ores and concentrates are leached under heat and pressure with water, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, oxygen, and a catalyst, and are further treated to recover silver in the form of silver chloride; iron in the form of iron hydroxide; copper and all traces of soluble toxic metals as sulfides; zinc as zinc ammonium sulfate and specifically nitric acid, sulfuric acid, oxygen, ammonia, and ammonium compounds as valuable fertilizer products.

  • Patent number: 7444375
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for a user of a portable electronic device to respond to a received electronic message. Instructions for reply and message identification are appended to the electronic message to enable a response. The recipient replies by placing a telephone call to a server phone number. After authentication, a voice message is recorded, and, once approved by the sender, the message is converted to an archivable form. The recorded message is sent as an attachment to a text email message to the sender of the original electronic message.

  • Publication number: 20060217972
Abstract: Signal Quality Enhancement is performed directly in a coded domain. Coded Domain-Signal Quality Enhancement (CD-SQE) is applied to an encoded signal populated substantially with encoded signal bits to produce an enhanced encoded signal. The enhanced encoded signal is outputted. Thus, the signal does not have to go through intermediate decoder/re-encoder(s), which can degrade overall speech quality. Computational resources required for a complete re-encoding are not needed. Overall delay of the system is minimized. The CD-SQE system can be used in any network in which signals are communicated in a coded domain, such as a Third Generation (3G) wireless network.

  • Patent number: 4146832
Abstract: When connected to a source of unregulated DC power, a series switching regulator delivers a constant output current to a load. A series switch, in response to a control signal, adjusts the flow of input power by switching ON and OFF. The switching operation generates a gated power signal having a variable duty cycle, and the duty cycle depends on the power demands of the load. During the period when the switch is ON, the energy in the gated power signal is stored in the magnetic field of a transformer. During the period when the switch is OFF, the transformer releases the stored energy to capacitive storage devices and to the output load. The capacitive storage devices also supply current to the load when the transformer is storing energy. Feedback signals from voltage and current sensors combine to form a single control signal which adjusts the duty cycle of the switch until the power demands of the load are met.
