  • Patent number: 11044595
Abstract: A method and apparatus of communication via a hand held device that includes receiving an indication at the device to initiate an emergency call via a wireless network; determining whether the device is configured with a subscriber identity module (SIM) card, wherein the SIM card includes a plurality of numbers; and sequentially calling the plurality of numbers stored on the SIM card based on the determination that the device is configured with the SIM card. Further, the method and apparatus include detecting an emergency indication; connecting to a wireless network; and establishing a communication with one or more emergency service providers based at least in part on detecting the emergency indication, wherein the communication is established via the wireless network.

  • Publication number: 20120217212
Abstract: A display assembly and shelving unit. The display assembly includes a base with one or more channels that extend between the front and back of the base. The back is higher than the front so that the base is retained at an angle to the horizontal within the shelving unit. A conveyor mechanism operable under force of gravity is provided across the channels. The conveyor mechanism includes roller assemblies that have rods with a plurality of small rollers thereon. The rollers are able to rotate about the stationary rod individually and independently. When a product for sale is removed from a front end of a first channel, then the products remaining in that first channel slide downwardly on the rollers until they engage a stop. Products in adjacent channels will remain stationary as the rollers in those additional channels will not rotate when product is removed from the first channel.

  • Publication number: 20100224582
Abstract: A shelving assembly has an integral product display and provides an adjustable track for the product display to roll along. The track may be adjusted both horizontally and vertically to allow the user to tailor the track to fit different shelving sizes and configurations. A carriage within the track rolls on wheels which are oriented in both the vertical and horizontal plane. A slider framework extends downwardly from the carriage and provides a display box for the customer to view an unboxed and preferably assembled sample of a product for sale. The slider framework is removably secured to the carriage, or in the alternative, the display box is removably secured to the slider framework, so the user may easily remove and replace display samples.

  • Publication number: 20070250663
Abstract: A persistent snapshot is taken and maintained in accordance with a novel method and system for extended periods of time using only a portion of a computer readable medium of which the snapshot is taken. Multiple snapshots can be taken in succession at periodic intervals and maintained practically indefinitely. The snapshots are maintained even after powering down and rebooting of the computer system. The state of the object of the snapshot for each snapshot preferably is accessible via a folder on volume of the snapshot. A restore of a file or folder may be accomplished by merely copying that file or folder from the snapshot folder to a current directory of the volume. Alternatively, the entire computer system may be restored to a previous snapshot state thereof. Snapshots that occurred after the state to which the computer is restored are not lost in the restore operation. Different rule sets and scenarios can be applied to each snapshot.
