  • Publication number: 20110023800
Abstract: A vee-engine has left and right cylinder banks have valve configurations that are mirror images of each other. The exhaust valves and associated exhaust ports are situated more toward the rear of the engine than the intake valves in any particular cylinder. With all the exhaust valves nearer the rear of the engine, the overall exhaust manifold runner length between the ports and the turbocharger is reduced relative to an engine with offset cylinder banks where exhaust valves in one bank are located nearer the front of the engine than exhaust valves of the other bank.

  • Publication number: 20110023819
Abstract: A four-valve per cylinder engine has two intake valves, two exhaust valves and a centrally located fuel injector. Between each adjacent pair of valves is a valve bridge with a point of minimum separation between adjacent valves. In the present disclosure, the glow plug port is defined in the cylinder top at a location outboard of the minimum separation between adjacent and at a depth which is tangent to an edge of a fuel jet emanating the injector. By placing the glow plug farther outboard than found in the prior art, the glow plug contacts the fuel as it comes out of the injector and as it rebounds off a feature of the piston bowl.

  • Publication number: 20110018136
Abstract: A method of forming at least one electronic device on a substrate comprising creating a depository and an attached capillary; providing a liquid containing particles in the range 1 nanometer to 1 millimeter for deposit into the depository; the liquid flowing into the at least one capillary by capillary action; evaporating the liquid such that the particles form an agglomerate beginning at the end of the at least one capillary with a substantially uniform distribution of the particles within the agglomerate; whereby the agglomerate is used to form a part of the at least one electronic device. An microelectronic integrated circuit device comprising a substrate; a depository coupled to said substrate formed by at least one wall, a capillary channel coupled to said depository adapted to be filled with liquid comprising nanoparticles by capillary action, whereby as the liquid evaporates, an agglomerate forms in the capillary channel having a substantially uniform distribution of the particles.

  • Publication number: 20070208738
Abstract: Provided are techniques for providing suggestions for a search query. As input of a search query is received, it is determined that the input corresponds to a stem. It is determined whether the stem resolves to a predetermined term. In response to determining that the input resolves to a predetermined term, a new query is generated based on the predetermined term and zero or more previously resolved terms. In response to executing the new query, results are received and suggestions for completing the search query are provided based on the received results.

  • Publication number: 20070203889
Abstract: A system, method, and program product are provided to receive a request from a requestor over a computer network and compare the request to a plurality of triggers associated with a plurality of layout configurations. One of the layout configurations is then selected based on the comparison. Next, components are identified for the selected layout configuration. A markup language response (e.g., HTML) is created that includes a markup language version of each of the identified components. The markup language version for at least one of the identified components is based upon a query answer that corresponds to the request. The markup language response is returned to the requestor over the computer network where it can be viewed using a browser running on the requestor's computer.
