Abstract: The present disclosure relates to medicament injection devices. An injection device includes: a movable dosage programming component comprising a rotary encoder system having a predefined angular periodicity, a sensor arrangement including a first optical sensor configured to detect movement of the movable dosage programming component relative to the sensor arrangement during dosing of a medicament, wherein the first optical sensor is configured to operate in a strobe-sampling mode at a first frequency, a second optical sensor configured to detect movement of the rotary encoder system relative to the second optical sensor wherein the second optical sensor is configured to operate in a strobe-sampling mode at a second frequency lower than the first frequency, and a processor arrangement configured to, based on the detected movement, determine a medicament dosage administered by the injection device.

Abstract: An instrument for use in cartilage removal comprises an elongate body having a first end and a longitudinal axis having a longitudinal direction. A cartilage removal portion is coupled to the elongate body at the first end. The cartilage removal portion includes a plurality of serrated blades substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and adapted for removing material while moving in the longitudinal direction. Each serrated blade has a centroid located along the longitudinal axis.

A computer program enables a user to walk around in a simulation, with the events in the simulation determined by pre-written scripts.

Abstract: An apparatus for use with a milking machine comprising one or more teat cups and a vacuum source providing a vacuum in the teat cups, for collecting a small volume of liquid for cold storage, the apparatus comprising: a) a fluid collection receptacle (15) having an opening (17) for collecting fluid, b) a housing for the fluid collection receptacle (15) comprising an inlet (12) for receiving the liquid from the one or more teat cups and a port for providing a vacuum within the housing from said vacuum source, and c) means for retaining (14) the opening (17) of the receptacle (15) to receive liquid via the housing inlet (12). A milking system incorporating the apparatus is also claimed.
