    Abstract: Replacement shackles for holding the front ends of leaf springs used at the front ends of vehicles such as so-called "off road" vehicles can be constructed so as to each include a stop member which is adapted to hit against the frame of such a vehicle to preclude the shackle being rotated to such an extent that the distance between the ends of the spring is shortened to such an extent that the spring carried by the shackle is damaged.
