  • Patent number: 10685147
Abstract: Areas of non-conformances in a manufactured object are electronically mapped within a coordinate system of the object. Boundary lines of the areas containing the non-conformances are displayed on a 3-D image of the product. Visualization of the boundary lines of areas containing multiple non-conformances allows tracking of non-conformances, identification of trends in non-conformances and correction of production processes in order to reduce non-conformances.

    Assignee: The Boeing Company
Inventors: Brian N. Slack, Thomas Alexander Brown, Jennifer Diane MacKay, Guy Stockie, Yanxin Emily Wang, Lori Lynne Woodbury
  • Publication number: 20190392391
Abstract: A system includes a processor. The processor is configured to generate, based on historical data and a product identifier of a product associated with a reverse engineering project, a decision recommendation associated with a second user role. The processor is also configured to generate, based on a query, a role-based task associated with a first user having a first user role. The processor is further configured to provide the decision recommendation to a second device associated with a second user having the second user role, to receive first task data from a first device associated with the first user, to generate at least one reverse engineering task based on at least the product identifier, to generate a reverse engineering artifact by performing the at least one reverse engineering task, and to store the first task data and the reverse engineering artifact in a memory.

  • Patent number: 10380510
Abstract: The different advantageous embodiments provide a method for inventory management. A number of parts to monitor is identified. A number of agents is generated to form a number of agent societies. A number of tasks is assigned to the number of agent societies. Dynamic task result data is received from the number of agent societies. Inventory information is predicted based on the task result data.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: August 13, 2019
    Assignee: The Boeing Company
Inventors: Brian N. Slack, Douglas J. Dwyer, William E. Krechel
  • Patent number: 9898702
Abstract: An apparatus for managing decision support related events and solutions includes a plurality of case management elements. Each of the case management elements is in communication with at least an associated one of a corresponding plurality of portal access controllers associated with a corresponding unit within an organization. Each of the case management elements includes at least a corresponding one of a plurality of solution elements. Each of the solution elements is configured to receive solution information from the at least one corresponding portal access controller and to communicate the solution information only with each other one of the solution elements. The solution information comprises data regarding a decision support related event associated with a case associated with the corresponding unit.

  • Patent number: 8269606
Abstract: A method for operating an RFID tag read verification system is described where the system includes at least one RFID reader and antenna assembly and a computing device. The method includes importing a control file, including data relating to a plurality of RFID tagged items that collectively form an RFID tagged environment, into the computing device, scanning the RFID tagged environment utilizing the one or more RFID reader and antenna assemblies, transferring scan data of the RFID tag environment from the one or more RFID reader and antenna assemblies to the computing device, and utilizing the computing device to compare the scan data to the control file to identify any anomalies within the RFID tagged environment.
