  • Publication number: 20230049477
Abstract: Girts, systems incorporating girts, and methods of using girts are disclosed. The girts are structurally reinforced by gussets that are formed with material from the girt walls. In some embodiments, the gussets are formed via an efficient metal stamping process. The girts have a high mechanical strength, are easily manufactured, allow for water drainage and air circulation, improve thermal performance, decrease sound transmission, and reduce material, transportation and labor costs relative to traditional girts. In addition, isolators that may be used with the girts reduce thermal conductivity and divert moisture from mounting locations.

  • Publication number: 20230014324
Abstract: Discrete items are conveyed, preferably by a vacuum conveyor, in a machine direction toward a pair of rotating blades. A first intended target of folding, for instance a right portion of front and back panels of a diaper, travels up a ramp, raising the level of the intended target. A rotating blade passes under the intended target of folding, and folds the right portion of front and back panels of a diaper over. If desired, a second intended target of folding, for instance a left portion of front and back panels of a diaper, travels up a second ramp, raising the level of the intended target. A rotating blade passes under the second intended target of folding, and folds the left portion of front and back panels of a diaper over. The folded diaper then exits the folding system and travels downstream for further processing as desired.

  • Patent number: 11286676
Abstract: Termination girts, systems incorporating termination girts, and methods of using termination girts are disclosed. The termination girts are configured to abut adjacent building systems such as windows, doors, interconnected walls and the like with a clearance close to zero, which allows exterior cladding on a structure to be hung in a seamless, smooth design without added gaps or reveals. In some embodiments, the termination girts are used, either with other types of girts or exclusively, to produce a continuous horizontal or vertical rail system on the exterior of a structure to support cladding covering the structure and, optionally, insulation mounted on the exterior of the structure. The termination girts have a high mechanical strength, are easily manufactured, allow for water drainage and air circulation, can be mounted in both horizontal and vertical orientations, and are especially useful near the intersection of perpendicular surfaces.

  • Patent number: 11088475
Abstract: The described devices and methods facilitate optimal control of contact surfaces for Flat Flexible Cable (FFC) connectors, especially of a Zero-Insertion-Force (ZIF) format. Terminal alignment guides, in the form of edge supports added to the terminal base of the primary conductor of the described Self-Aligned Connector, prevent slippage from side to side as a ZIF connector applies force to press its receptacle pins against the terminals of the FFC, thereby reducing wear of the connections. Flared ends of the conductor tails prevent misalignment of multi-terminal connectors. End stops inserted within the FFC connector tails serve to control depth of insertion to facilitate impedance matching.

  • Publication number: 20210204658
Abstract: A buckle has a buckle mechanism with a lock pawl and a latch pin. The latch pin is designed to travel only in a longitudinal or horizontal direction relative to the buckle mechanism. When a latch plate assembly is secured, the latch pin holds the lock pawl in a latched position and prevents accidental release of the latch plate assembly. A release button is coupled to the latch plate retention bar so that all of the effective actuation and other motions are in the longitudinal direction of the buckle mechanism. The buckle mechanism has an ejector mechanism with an ejection spring for ejecting the latch plate assembly.

  • Patent number: 10877784
Abstract: A virtual assistant receives a message including message content from a client device. The virtual assistant determines an intent to organize an event and initial parameters for the event based on the message content. The virtual assistant retrieves a set of messages related to the received message from a data store and refines the initial parameters based on the related messages. A set of potential recommendations is generated based on the refined event parameters and the virtual assistant selects one or more of the potential recommendations to surface to users. The selected recommendations are sent to the client device for presentation to the user.

  • Patent number: 10831714
Abstract: A computer-implemented method, according to one embodiment, includes: sending management data to a designated common cell in a namespace of a central storage location from one or more remote storage locations. The management data corresponds to object data stored at the one or more remote storage locations. the object data stored at each of the one or more remote storage locations is further transferred to a respective cell in the namespace of the central storage location. Moreover, a modified consistency hashing algorithm configuration is implemented. The modified consistency hashing algorithm configuration routes updates of existing object data in the one or more remote storage locations to the respective cells in the central storage location. Other systems, methods, and computer program products are described in additional embodiments.
