  • Patent number: 10275489
Abstract: A fleet of query accelerator nodes is established for a data store. A particular node stores a binary encoding of a data item in a local data cache. The encoding identifies a metadata record indicating names of attributes of the data item. In response to receiving a particular query directed to the data item, an executable code component generated to produce a result for the query is cached in a local query code cache. When a second query which meets a matching criterion is received, the executable code component is re-used to obtain a result for the second query.

  • Publication number: 20190085320
Abstract: A method of preparing a nucleic acid sample with target enrichment uses a reaction vessel, within which is added a chelating agent to a sample with heating to about 99° C. to provide a crude lysate. A PNA probe is provided at a concentration sufficient for binding and capture of discernible levels of target nucleic acid. The PNA probe may be attached to beads which are initially embedded in a wax body and are released during the heating so that the y are free to move and come into contact with the PNA probe and target DNA. After binding has occurred, the beads are magnetically attracted back into a pocket along with the wax, which is allowed to solidify before they are removed from the reaction vessel.

  • Publication number: 20190080156
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for ensuring a desired distribution of images in a multimedia document (e.g., yearbook, slideshow). A desired distribution of facial signatures in a multimedia document to be created by the user is received. Upon receiving an image to be added to the multimedia document by the user, a facial signature for a face detected in the image is generated. The current number of instances of the facial signature in the multimedia document is then determined. A determination is then made as to whether the current number of instances of the facial signature meets the desired distribution. An indication is then provided to the user as to whether the current number of instances of the facial signature meets or does not meet the desired distribution. In this manner, the user can ensure a desired distribution of images in the multimedia document.

  • Patent number: 10221581
Abstract: A convertible floor panel assembly incorporates a metal wire mesh subfloor and a polymer deck overlying the wire mesh subfloor. A plurality of alignment heads project from an underside of the polymer deck, and are designed to extend through respective mesh openings defined by the wire mesh subfloor. A plurality of panel retainers engage respective alignment heads, and are adapted for removably attaching the wire mesh subfloor and the polymer deck together. The floor panel assembly is thereby convertible between a substantially open-surface sound permeable safety structure and a continuous solid-surface structure for increased floor load capacity.

  • Publication number: 20190052734
Abstract: A publication tool, and methods of use thereof, for publishing user created content as well as republishing content created by others to a social media network. The publication tool incorporates and uses analytic data from a plurality of data sources to identify and evaluate relationships between the user of the social media network and members of social media networks who subscribe to view the content published by the user on the social media network. The publication tool predicts the likelihood that a subscriber of the social media network will publish or share the same content as the user and if the publication tool predicts that the same content will be published by the user and the subscriber, the publication tool will publish the content on the social media network as a joint publication which can be viewed by all common subscribers shared between the user and the subscriber.
