Abstract: A portable diagnostic device has a lysate stage (167) with a port for receiving a sample and containing magnetic beads with a probe, and an outlet port. A series of assay stages (161-164) are linked with the lysate vessel, each with a reservoir linked by channels. The final stage (164) has a sensor (169) for detecting beads attached to analyte molecules which have been conveyed according to attachment to probes on beads. Larger transport beads cause reporter beads which are tethered by target NA and probes to be transported to the final sensor stage, where they are released and detected when the transport beads have been removed.

Abstract: An improved feeding catheter is provided for feeding/recycling chyme to a distal stoma. The improved catheter includes a hollow tube having an end for insertion into stoma, and a second end adapted to be connected to a fluid source. The first end includes a retention feature comprising a plurality of ribs extending outwardly and longitudinally away from the tube and terminating at a nose junction. Web walls extend between at least one pair of adjacent ribs and the ribs further define a side facing opening configured for fluid to exit into the gastrointestinal tract. Further the retention feature can be moved between a relaxed condition and a stretched condition for insertion through the distal opening, wherein the maximum width of the retention feature in the stretched condition is less than the maximum width of the retention feature in the relaxed condition.

Abstract: A data processing system includes a transaction bus, a console application in communication with the transaction bus, and a view predictor subsystem in communication with the transaction bus. The transaction bus receives, from a user application executing on a client device, a call for visual information to be provided to the user application. The view predictor subsystem determines a likelihood that the visual information will be viewable within a viewport of the user application, and a plurality of respective values for a plurality of sources of the visual information are computed based on the likelihood and a respective priority for each source. The console application provides to the transaction bus the set of potential sources of the visual information, and the transaction bus selects, based on the computed values, one of the potential sources of the visual information to be the result, which is provided to the user application.

Abstract: Relevance scores may be determined based on text included in a document. The text may be divided into a text portions, with the relevance scores being determined based on a comparison of a text portion of the plurality of text portions with a criterion specified in natural language. A subset of the plurality of text portions may be selected based on the plurality of relevance scores, with each of the subset of the plurality of text portions having a relevance score surpassing a threshold. A criteria evaluation prompt may be sent to a remote text generation modeling system via a communication interface. The criteria evaluation prompts may include an instruction to evaluate one or more of the subset of text portions against the criterion.

Abstract: There are provided high power laser systems for performing decommissioning of structures in land based boreholes, and wells, offshore, and other remote and hazardous locations, and using those system to perform decommissioning operations. In particular embodiments the laser system is a Class I system and reduces emission of materials created during laser cutting operations. The laser systems can include lifting and removal equipment for removing laser sectioned material.

Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for query tree labeling and processing. A query may be received. A query tree may be generated from the query and identifiers may be generated for nodes of the query tree and stored in the nodes. Labels may be stored in nodes determined to meet at least one criteria for being labeled nodes to generate a labeled query tree. The nodes of the labeled query tree may be processed by receiving results from an entry in a results data structure and returning the results from the entry as the results for the node if the identifier of the nodes matches the identifier of an entry in the results data structure. If there is no match, results may be computed for the node. The results generated by computing the node may be stored in the results data structure if the node has a label.

Abstract: Embodiments include apparatuses for rebooting an electronic device. In an embodiment, an apparatus includes a data interface, a first power port, a second power port, a switch, and a processor. The data interface is configured to connect to the electronic device. The first power port is configured to receive power from a power source and the second power port is configured to deliver power to the electronic device. The switch is configured to connect the first power port to the second power port. The processor conducts data communications monitoring of the electronic device via the data interface and reboots the electronic device responsive to the data communications monitoring.

Abstract: A nutrient recycling device is provided that is configured to collect digestive contents from a first opening of a gastrointestinal (GI) tract and recycle and/or return the digestive contents to a second location in a patient's gastrointestinal tract. The device and associated method may find application in patients with a number of complaints, such as short bowel syndrome and/or prior to stoma reversal surgery. The device comprises a bag adapted to receive the digestive contents from a first GI opening, and a pump incorporated with the bag adapted to pump the digestive contents to a second GI location. The pump includes an inlet in fluid communication with the interior of the bag, and an outlet connected to an outlet conduit adapted to provide a flow pathway for the digestive content to flow from the pump to second GI location.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for providing alternative content in audio-video streams are disclosed. A manifest data structure including data reflective of a plurality of content segments is generated. At least one alternative content indicator, each indicating one of said plurality of content segments as being an alternative content segment is obtained. The manifest data structure is modified to remove data reflective of those of said plurality of content segments that are not indicated by said one of said alternative content indicators as being an alternative content segment. Upon receiving a request from a client device to view alternative content, the modified manifest data structure is sent to the client device.

Abstract: An analyte in a liquid sample is detected using a capacitive sensor having electrodes and a sensor surface, and a signal processor. The sample is dried to reduce its liquid content, and capacitive measurements are made after the drying and preferably also before the drying. The sample may include particles, and the analyte is part of or attached to the particles, and the particles provide a major part of the capacitance change compared to absence of particles. In another example the particles are degenerative and form an integral mass upon application of heat, enhancing the extent of capacitance change.

Abstract: A magnetic sensor package comprising a magnetic multi-turn sensor die and a magnetic single turn sensor die, in which both sensor dies are packaged on the same lead frame. A method of manufacturing the magnetic sensor package is also provided. A magnetic sensor system comprising a rotating magnet and the magnetic sensor package, where the sensor package is arranged so that both sensor dies sit within a homogenous magnetic field, thereby ensuring that the output signal of each sensor is not corrupted by any stray fields.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes generating, using a transaction management computing subsystem of an advertising platform, a set of primary bid requests responsive to receipt of an advertising call. Each primary bid request includes information sufficient to characterize an impression consumer and information sufficient to characterize each of one or more impressions identified in the advertising call. The method also includes sending the set of primary bid requests from the transaction management computing subsystem to a first set of decisioning computing subsystems of the advertising platform. Each decisioning computing subsystem of the first set being operable to generate a bid response based on the information included in a primary bid request.

An example method includes administering to an area of the subject a therapeutically effective amount of the biomaterial, wherein the biomaterial provides artery growth, arteriole growth, a combination thereof in the area of administration.

Abstract: The invention relates to a pharmaceutical formulation comprising nicotine. The formulation can be aerosolised at ambient temperature for delivery via inhalation. The invention also relates to a method of delivering nicotine to a subject via inhalation, and specifically via the use of a nebuliser.
