  • Patent number: 9856052
Abstract: An injection-molded plastic bucket with a base, a substantially circumferential wall expanding conically upward to an upper edge, and a pouring handle, where a lower edge of the wall is provided with a recess for the pouring handle, and a process for manufacturing an injection-molded plastic bucket. The bucket design is such the mold costs and curing time can be reduced and of which the universal utility of the molds can be improved, this task being solved in that the plastic bucket is molded in one piece, where the pouring handle is of substantially the same thickness as the bucket wall, and is integrally formed with the bucket body.

  • Publication number: 20140129257
Abstract: High-risk patients may be enrolled in an intensive care program to reduce the likelihood of recurring symptoms. A method for identifying and enrolling these high-risk patients in the intensive care program may include receiving a plurality of patient health profiles corresponding to a plurality of patients from an electronic medical record database. Then, a first subset of patients of the plurality of patients may be identified to be at high risk of suffering an episode. Then, a patient from the first subset of patients may be enrolled in an intensive care program designed to reduce the rate of episodes for the patient. The intensive care program may involve coordinated treatments from a continuum of healthcare professions. The healthcare professionals may use data within the electronic medical record to improve treatment of the high-risk patient.

  • Patent number: 8000084
Abstract: A method for reducing pressure build-up in an electrochemical cell is provided comprising: providing an anhydrous nonaqueous electrolyte solution comprising at least one quaternary ammonium salt and at least one anhydrous nonaqueous solvent; contacting the electrolyte solution with at least one acid scavenger; and loading the nonaqueous electrolyte solution into the electrochemical cell. Also, provided is an electric double-layer capacitor (supercapacitor) comprising a free acid scavenger.

  • Patent number: 5814789
Abstract: A forced convection furnace gas plenum having a mixing chamber to provide a heated gas of a more uniform temperature is presented. The plenum includes a heating element for heating gas and an orifice plate for metering the flow of heated gas to product within the furnace. A heater plate having larger apertures than those of the orifice plate is disposed between the heating element and the orifice plate. The apertures in the heater plate are sized to allow heated gas to pass therethrough into the mixing chamber, located between the heater plate and the orifice plate, with minimal pressure loss. The heated gas mixes in the mixing chamber, causing the temperature to become more uniform before the gas exits through the orifice plate to impinge on the product.
