Publication number: 20220256213Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices relating to network control are described herein. In a method, a computing device may receive a request from a client device for a first segment of a first version of a content asset. The computing device may determine, based on one or more usage characteristics associated with a capability of the computing device to provide content to connected client devices, a second version of the content asset for the client device to request in one or more subsequent requests for the content asset. The computing device may send the requested-for first segment to the client device via a response that also comprises a header, trailer, or metadata indicating the second version of the content asset. The computing device may receive a second request for a second segment of the second version of the content asset.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 9, 2021Publication date: August 11, 2022Inventors: James Panagos, Jeffrey Elsloo, Dylan Souza, Chris David Lemmons, Evan Zelkowitz, Brian Olsen

Patent number: 10158938Abstract: A horn speaker improves ambience and sound quality by minimizing the transmission of sound diffusion and noise while maximizing the transmission of source sound generated by a speaker unit. The sound emitted by the speaker unit is collected in a seating groove and discharged through a discharge outlet of the horn speaker by integrally forming a plurality of horns in primary and secondary cases of the horn speaker enclosure. A simplified structure reduces the size of the horn speaker and difficulty associated with its assembly. The reproduction band of sound can be extended by forming a horn in a duct structure and adding sound pressure by combining it with sound emitted from the resonance of the duct in forward and backward directions. The amplitude of the resonance point is reduced in the same band and consequently advantageously reduces distortion of the sound.Type: GrantFiled: July 27, 2017Date of Patent: December 18, 2018Assignees: Electronic Controls Company, Sung Ju Sound Corp.Inventors: Dong Uk Jang, Brian Olsen
