  • Patent number: 11849356
Abstract: A system and method of communication, comprising establishing a first connection between the user equipment and a first non-public packet switched network which assigns a first non-public packet switched network address to user equipment; establishing an open signaling channel which communicates between the user equipment and a remote server through a cellular telephone network according to a public switched telephone network address associated with an International mobile subscriber identity; communicating an identification of the first non-public network and the first non-public packet switched network address over the open signaling channel to the remote server; and establishing a real time voice communication from the remote server to the user equipment through the first connection based on a call routed through the remote server to the public switched telephone network address.

  • Patent number: 9762741
Abstract: A method to discriminate a signal as a DTMF digit is operative in a service provider having a VoIP-based media server. The media server accepts both in-band DTMF and RTP telephone events. A digit detection module receives as input a data stream that may include one or more DTMF digits. The module processes the input data stream and provides, as output, an indication of what digit(s) have been detected and from what source (e.g., in-band audio, an RTP 2833 telephone event, of both). The output is then further processed by a discrimination algorithm to make a final digit determination. If RTP telephone events are detected, the algorithm prefers them and ignores in-band DTMF until the call ends or the media is re-negotiated. The approach detects when duplicate digits of differing types are initially received and only accepts one of them, regardless of spacing or duration.

  • Patent number: 9266580
Abstract: Various embodiments of reduced-size vehicles such as all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and utility vehicles (UVs) are disclosed herein. In at least some embodiments, the vehicles include frames that are wider near the front and rear sections of the vehicles than within the mid-sections of the vehicles. This, in combination with the use of shock-absorbers that are substantially vertically oriented, allows for the opening-up of large interior cavities within the front and rear sections of the vehicles within which can be positioned large front and rear internal compartments that can provide storage/carrying capacity as well as added buoyancy for the vehicle, among other things. Also, in at least some embodiments, the vehicles can include special cooling and/or exhaust systems having components that are positioned substantially within the mid-sections of the vehicles, thus further increasing the amounts of space available for the cavities/compartments within the front and rear sections of the vehicles.
