Patent number: 11685238Abstract: Disclosed are front entry cabs, and power machines with front entry cabs, having a door that is moveable between opened and closed positions. In the opened position, the door is positioned within an operator compartment of the cab above the operator seat and below a top of the cab. A linkage system defines the travel path of the door between closed and opened positions. The linkage system is configured to minimize interference with operator visibility.Type: GrantFiled: November 9, 2020Date of Patent: June 27, 2023Assignee: Clark Equipment CompanyInventors: Cody Erhardt, Ronald S. Hansen, Jonathan J. Roehrl, Brian P. Dehnert, David Glasser

Patent number: 10336292Abstract: Disclosed seat belt assemblies or mechanisms include a seat belt guide which positions the seat belt for convenient ingress and egress by an operator, but in a position which reminds the operator to fasten the seat belt. The seat belt guide is configured to be stiffer in one direction of movement to maintain the metal tab of the seat belt at a raised position to one side of the operator seat, for example at a position adjacent to an operator joystick or control, but to allow the guide and the seat belt to be moved across the operator seat (and operator) for buckling.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 2017Date of Patent: July 2, 2019Assignee: Clark Equipment CompanyInventors: Brian P. Dehnert, Jonathan J. Roehrl

Publication number: 20190042535Abstract: A utility vehicle comprises a plurality of ground engaging members and a frame supported by the plurality of ground engaging members. The frame includes a front frame portion, a mid-frame portion, and a rear frame portion. The utility vehicle further comprises an attachment supported at the front frame portion. Additionally, the utility vehicle includes an operator area supported by the frame and including an operator seat and an adjacent passenger seat spaced apart from the operator seat. The operator seat and the passenger seat are in a side-by-side arrangement. The utility vehicle also comprises an auxiliary power assembly having an attachment shaft configured to be operably coupled to the attachment. The attachment shaft extends in a generally longitudinal direction of the utility vehicle and projects outwardly from the front frame portion.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 27, 2018Publication date: February 7, 2019Applicant: Polaris Industries Inc.Inventors: Jeremy C. Patent number: 10189512Abstract: A mechanical linkage between operator input devices and actuators including a junction having a first portion operably coupled to an operator input device and a second portion operably coupled to an actuator. The first and second portions of the junction are connected when a cab is in an operating position and disconnected when a cab is in a service position. When connected, the first and second portions create a solid connection between the operator input device and the actuator. When the first and second portions are disconnected, the operator input will be not be operably coupled to the actuator. Movement of the cab to the operating position will cause the first and second portions to become connected and movement away from the operating position will cause the first and second portions to become disconnected.Type: GrantFiled: February 3, 2017Date of Patent: January 29, 2019Assignee: Clark Equipment CompanyInventors: Brian P. Dehnert, Ronald S. Hansen, Matthew J. Kaldor, Jeret L. Hoesel, Jonathan J. Roehrl
