Patent number: 11814183Abstract: A strap that may be used to secure equipment (e.g., a bag) to the parachute harness of a parachutist. The strap may provide adjustability of an effective strap length to assist in positioning the suspended equipment relative to the parachutist. The strap may include quick-release features that allow the suspended equipment to be quickly and easily disengaged (e.g., once the parachutist has landed). In turn, a transition to ground operations in which the equipment is in use may occur quickly and without heavy rigging or additional containers for stowing the equipment during the jump. In turn, the strap may be carried with the parachutist during ground operations without significant additional weight.Type: GrantFiled: November 12, 2021Date of Patent: November 14, 2023Assignee: IDIS CORP.Inventor: Brian Parker

Publication number: 20220233797Abstract: A small form factor metered dose inhaler is disclosed. The inhaler includes a casing having a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis. The casing has a mouthpiece opening at one end along the longitudinal axis. The casing is configured to house a medicament canister along the longitudinal axis. The medicament canister contains a plurality of doses of a pulmonary medicament and a metered dose valve configured to release a metered dose of the pulmonary medicament through the mouthpiece opening along the longitudinal axis. A mechanical linkage translates an applied input force to the mechanical linkage into an output force along the longitudinal axis configured to actuate the metered dose valve and release the metered dose of the pulmonary medicament in a direction along the longitudinal axis. The aerosolized medicament exits the casing in a fluid flow which is symmetric in a vertical plane along the longitudinal axis.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 28, 2022Publication date: July 28, 2022Inventors: Teryn Holeman, Brian Parker, Alex Huhn, Nicholas Wallace

Publication number: 20160105010Abstract: A power cord assembly for supplying power to a drilling rig is disclosed. The assembly is assembled such that it can be easily dismantled for infield repairs and replacement of a malfunctioning component, hence it is a re-buildable unit. A series of cords containing a stack of cables that supply power to the Top Drive unit are secured in position within a hose, by several compression blocks. The compression blocks are concentric to each other about an axis. A hanging system surrounds the compression blocks and the hanging system is further surrounded by a hose. A series of king clamps are placed around the hose for firmly securing the hose in its position. The king clamps are removed when needed (for example for repair of a cable) so that all the components which make up the assembly are easily accessed by a user. The assembly is secured to a drilling rig and goes up and down in a continuous fashion during use.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 8, 2015Publication date: April 14, 2016Inventors: Wesley McKinney, Brad Sinor, Cliff Grubbs, Eddie Cardoshinsky, Jason Ardoin, Brian Parker

Patent number: 8750282Abstract: A system generates one or more media streams from time-stamped packets received over a network. The packets may include audio, video, or a combination of both, sampled at a rate determined by a master media clock at a transmitter of the time-stamped packets or at some other node on the network. Timestamps in the packets may be presentation times based on values of a remote real-time clock at the transmitter that is synchronized with a local real-time clock at a receiver. The system may generate the media streams from the media stream samples and present the sampled data according to the presentation times.Type: GrantFiled: February 9, 2011Date of Patent: June 10, 2014Assignee: Harman International Industries, IncorporatedInventors: Aaron Gelter, Brian Parker, Robert Boatright

Patent number: 8683070Abstract: A system may route media stream samples in time-stamped packets to a media interface. The system may determine a hash value from a stream identifier that identifies a source media stream corresponding to the media stream samples. The hash value may be determined based on a combination of a first portion of the stream identifier and a second portion of the stream identifier. The system may determine whether the stream identifier identifies a subscribed media stream by looking up the hash value in a hash table. The system may route the media stream samples to a media interface if source media stream is a subscribed media stream.Type: GrantFiled: February 9, 2011Date of Patent: March 25, 2014Assignee: Harman International Industries, IncorporatedInventors: Aaron Gelter, Brian Parker, Robert Boatright, Jeffrey L. Patent number: 8443098Abstract: A memory management unit (MMU) may buffer media stream samples of one or more media streams, such as audio and/or video streams, in a buffer. The MMU may determine how much time a media stream sample is to be buffered by comparing a value of a real-time clock with a timestamp associated with the media stream sample. The MMU may determine a target output block in the buffer for the media stream sample based on the period of a media clock and on the amount of buffer time that the media stream sample is to be buffered. The target output block is determined relative to an output block identified by a read address. The MMU may store the media stream sample in the target output block. The MMU may increase or decrease the read address at a rate determined by the media clock.Type: GrantFiled: February 9, 2011Date of Patent: May 14, 2013Assignee: Harman International Industries, IncorporatedInventors: Aaron Gelter, Brian Parker, Robert Boatright, Richard A. Patent number: 8428045Abstract: A system recovers a local media clock from a master media clock based on time-stamped packets received from a transmitter. The packets may include audio, video, or a combination of both, sampled at a rate determined by the master media clock at the transmitter. Timestamps in the packets may be based on values of a remote real-time counter at the transmitter that is synchronized with a local real-time counter at a receiver. The local media clock may be syntonized with the master media clock through the clock periods. The clocks may be synchronized by syntonizing the clocks and adjusting the phase of the local media clocks based on timestamps and a real-time counter.Type: GrantFiled: September 2, 2010Date of Patent: April 23, 2013Assignee: Harman International Industries, IncorporatedInventors: Aaron Gelter, Brian Parker, Robert Boatright

Publication number: 20130068705Abstract: The present invention relates to an upright reinforcing assembly for use with a pallet racking system, and racking system incorporating the same. The support configuration consists of an upright support and attached a bracket containing two L-shaped platforms which form a pocket. The upright support configuration is placed between two frame assemblies to support the beam, which is held in the pocket created by the bracket, thereby providing additional support to the beam and preventing rotation, bowing or distortion of the beam. Such a configuration lowers the cost of pallet racking as lower capacity beams can be used, or otherwise less frame assemblies are required in the racking.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 25, 2012Publication date: March 21, 2013Applicant: GLIDESTORE FREETRACK PTY LTDInventor: Brian Parker
