  • Publication number: 20240364643
Abstract: Techniques for processing packets on a network interface controller (NIC) with memory chiplets are disclosed. In an illustrative embodiment, a NIC includes a disaggregated memory with several high-bandwidth memory chiplets spread out in various locations on the NIC. The disaggregated nature of the memory can improve latency, throughput, and scalability as well as improve thermal performance by distributing heat generation to different locations on the NIC. In use, ports of the NIC can be configured to identify packets associated with certain flows and direct those packets to queues on the NIC. Direct memory access circuitry can copy the packets from queues on the NIC to queues on the system memory. This chain of copying packets from the port to the system memory creates a kind of virtual circuit, delivering packets directly to applications with low latency.

  • Patent number: 12103889
Abstract: Glass-based substrates are described herein that may be processed by methods including applying a cover article onto a glass-based substrate, submerging the glass-based substrate in an etchant, and maintaining the submersion of the glass-based substrate in the etchant. The glass-based substrate may include a covered surface portion and an exposed surface portion. At least a portion of the covered surface portion may be in direct contact with the cover article. The covered surface portion may not be in contact with the etchant and the exposed surface portion may be in direct contact with the etchant. The etchant may contact the exposed surface portion and the cover article fora time sufficient to etch the exposed surface portion. The cover article may provide a barrier between the etchant and the covered surface portion for the entirety of the submerging.

  • Patent number: 12107558
Abstract: A system having a set of power amplifiers each having a primary inductive structure configured to provide an output signal. A secondary inductive structure is configured to inductively couple to each of the primary inductive structures. A transmission line is provided with a signal trace and a ground trace. The signal trace of the transmission line is connected to a first end of the secondary inductive structure. A return path from a second end of the secondary inductive structure is coupled via a resonant network to the ground trace of the transmission line, in which the return path is spaced away from the secondary inductive structure to minimize inductive coupling to the primary structures.

  • Publication number: 20240319496
Abstract: A method and related system selectively dims a proper subset of a plurality of tiles (DTPTs) that are a part of a contiguous dimmable transparent panel (DTP). Using a processor and in a real-time continuous feedback loop, the method comprises detecting, using a light source detector with an outward facing sensor, a location of an illumination source within a volume adjacent to an outside surface of the DTP. The method further comprises determining, using a head/eye detector with an inward facing sensor, a viewer's gaze direction within a volume adjacent to an inside surface of the DTP. The method further comprises determining a panel intersection point for a light ray extending from the illumination source location along the viewer's gaze direction. Finally, the method comprises selectively dimming the proper subset of DTPTs proximate the panel intersection point.
