  • Publication number: 20240092947
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to supported catalyst systems for olefin polymerization, catalyst system precursors, methods of producing the precursors and catalyst systems and polyolefins formed from the catalyst systems.
    Type: Application
    Filed: November 17, 2021

  • Patent number: 11618791
Abstract: A method of producing a supported catalyst includes introducing a dissolved catalyst solution into a catalyst mix vessel, and after introducing the dissolved catalyst solution into the catalyst mix vessel, introducing a porous support material into the catalyst mix vessel. The catalyst mix vessel is then operated to contact the dissolved catalyst solution on the porous support material and thereby generate the supported catalyst, and the supported catalyst is discharged from the catalyst mix vessel.

Date of Patent: April 4, 2023
    Assignee: ExxonMobil Chemical Patents Inc.

  • Publication number: 20210179743
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to processes for producing a catalyst composition. A process may include mixing a catalyst compound having a transition metal atom, an activator, and a support to form a supported catalyst mixture. A process may also include drying the supported catalyst mixture at a pressure of about 10 kPa or less and a temperature of about 60° C. or greater for a period of about 6 h or less. The present disclosure also relates to processes for producing polyolefins. A process may include introducing a catalyst composition and at least one olefin to a polymerization reactor, where the catalyst composition has about 0.5 wt % to about 1.5 wt % aromatic hydrocarbon content, and less than 1 wt % of aliphatic hydrocarbon content. A process may also include obtaining a polyolefin having about 300 ppb or less aromatic hydrocarbon.

  • Publication number: 20150232589
Abstract: Ethylene-based copolymers having unusual viscosity performance are described, particularly ethylene-based polymers having about 80.0 to 99.0 wt. % of polymer units derived from ethylene and about 1.0 to about 20.0 wt. % of polymer units derived from one or more C3 to C20 ?-olefin comonomers; the ethylene-based polymer having a local maximum loss angle at a complex modulus, G*, of 2.50×104 to 1.00×106 Pa and a local minimum loss angle at a complex modulus, G*, of 1.00×104 to 3.00×104 Pa. The invention also includes articles, such as films, produced from such polymers and methods of making such articles.
