Publication number: 20240407895Abstract: Multi-position docking of an oral irrigator handle is provided. An oral irrigator may include a handle and a base including a dock configured to secure the handle in multiple orientations or angular positions relative to the base, such as a first orientation associated with a use configuration, and a second orientation associated with a storage configuration. In the use configuration, a reservoir may be coupled to the base with the handle coupled to the dock in the first orientation. In the storage configuration, the base may be positioned at least partially within the reservoir with the handle coupled to the dock in the second orientation. The dock may include a docking surface that engages with the handle, and a retaining feature to secure the handle to the dock. For example, the handle may be magnetically coupled to the dock in each orientation, such as within different cradles of the dock.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 10, 2024Publication date: December 12, 2024Applicant: WATER PIK, INC.Inventors: Brian R. Patent number: 12161293Abstract: The cleaning valves (or valves) of the current disclosure are generally single-use devices (SUDs) and therefore disposable. Reusing SUDs can be disadvantageous, as single-use devices are not designed to be reusable. Accordingly, valves for medical devices, such as endoscopes, disclosed may be configured to transition from a first state to a second state for indication of utilization of the valve, e.g., via exposure to a valve well. The transition from the first state to the second state may prevent reuse valves of the present disclosure. In embodiments, the valve may be made from a limited number of components and materials.Type: GrantFiled: September 21, 2021Date of Patent: December 10, 2024Assignee: Boston Scientific Scimed, Inc.Inventors: Brian Luis, Nathan T. Cummings, Ryan Vincent William Pollock, Pauline R. Limberg, Kyle Patrick Moore

Patent number: 11607359Abstract: An oral irrigator including a reservoir, a handle, a housing, a bezel positioned at least partially within and secured to the housing, and an actuator operably coupled to the housing and movable relative thereto is disclosed. The actuator includes a control shaft extending from the interior surface of the face and positioned inwards from an outer perimeter of front wall. The control shaft extends through an aperture in the housing and movement of a gripping body causes the control shaft to directly actuate a switch or a pressure assembly positioned within the housing. The actuator also includes an augmentation fluid positioned between the bezel and a portion of the actuator. The augmentation fluid modifies a frictional relationship between the bezel and the actuator to provide a predefined resistance force between the actuator and the bezel as the actuator is rotated relative to the bezel.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 2021Date of Patent: March 21, 2023Assignee: WATER PIK, INC.Inventors: Brian R.
