Publication number: 20250141711Abstract: Systems, components, and methods for use in a commercial kitchen intelligence system. A network appliance and a plurality of kitchen components are coupled to a data communication network. The network appliance establishes a VPN connection with a portal remote to the commercial kitchen. The network appliance establishes communication with a point-of-sale (POS) system for receipt of POS data. The network appliance facilitates communication among the kitchen components on the data communications network independent of different protocols by which the kitchen components are configured to communicate.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 31, 2024Publication date: May 1, 2025Inventors: Benjamin Wann, Brian Heuckroth, Canyon DeVille, Kwame Bamfo-Agyei, Norman Bernard, Brian Rain

Publication number: 20240426280Abstract: A modular pumped storage hydropower system may include a shaft having a first end located opposite a second end. A reservoir is connected to the first end of the shaft. The second end of the shaft is configured to be located under a surface of ground. The second end of the shaft has a first compartment and a second compartment. The first compartment retains a pump assembly having an inlet in hydro communication with the second compartment. The second compartment is configured to retain water. A pipe has a first end connected to the pump assembly located opposite a second end extending through a cover of the first end of the shaft. The second end of the pipe is in hydro communication with the reservoir. The pipe of the pump assembly transfers water from the second compartment of the second end of the shaft to the reservoir.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 17, 2024Publication date: December 26, 2024Applicant: ENERGY FUTURE INC.Inventor: Brian Raine

Publication number: 20240167627Abstract: Underground facilities built for storing electric energy in the form of gravity and buoyant energy are described herein. In one embodiment, the facility is disposed in a thixotropic fluid beneath the ground surface and houses water to maintain a positive buoyancy and a piston having a bulk density greater than the water. In another embodiment, the underground facility is configured as a buoyant capsule arranged in a cylinder filled with water, where the cylinder is sealed except for openings in a bottom half of the cylinder to allow near unimpeded water flow from a location inside to a location outside of the cylinder. In another embodiment, the underground facility is configured as a negatively buoyant capsule.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 18, 2023Publication date: May 23, 2024Applicant: ENERGY FUTURE INCInventor: Brian Raine

Publication number: 20240057662Abstract: A magnetic band for smoking device is presented. The magnetic band for smoking device contains a band body, at least one mounting platform, at least one magnet aperture, at least one magnet cavity, and at least one magnet insert. The band body contains an interior surface and an exterior surface. The at least one mounting platform is positioned adjacent to the exterior surface. The at least one mounting platform is distributed about the exterior surface of the band body. Each of the at least one magnet cavity is positioned within each of the at least one mounting platform. Each of the at least one magnet aperture traverses from the band body to each of the at least one magnet cavity. Each of the at least one magnet insert is positioned within each of the at least one magnet cavity.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 10, 2022Publication date: February 22, 2024Inventor: Brian Rains

Publication number: 20200107576Abstract: A modular water pipe body assembly for a smoking device aims to solve the issues and limitations often associated with conventional tobacco water pipes such as lacking modularity, being brittle, being filled with residual smell, and being prone to damage during cleaning, handling, and transportation. The components of the modular water pipe body assembly are detachably and telescopically fit on to one another in a slip-fit fashion, thus eliminating the need for a secondary sealing mechanism or threads when fully expanded for use with a smoking device. When not in use, the assembly can be efficiently disassembled and cleaned manually or through an apparatus such as a dishwasher. Further, the modular components of the assembly can be conveniently detached and compacted into a compartmentalized form for effective handling, storage, and transportation, thus making the assembly more modular, durable, and economical compared to said conventional systems.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 3, 2019Publication date: April 9, 2020Inventor: Brian Rains
