  • Publication number: 20250244157
Abstract: Herein disclosed is estimating alcohol content within a barrel based on a determination of a loss of fluid within the barrel. The loss of fluid may be determined by a measurement from outside the barrel. An implementation may comprise receiving information regarding an initial state of a liquid in a container, the initial state comprising at least one of an alcohol measure and a level of the liquid within the container, monitoring a level of the liquid within the container, wherein the monitoring is performed external to the container, determining an amount of loss of the liquid within the container based on the initial level and the monitored level, and estimating the alcohol measure of liquid remaining within the container based on the determined amount of loss of the liquid. An implementation may advantageously estimate alcohol content without affecting the internal ecosystem or contents of the barrel, improving product quality.

  • Publication number: 20250244304
Abstract: This disclosure relates to an AI-driven, non-invasive system configured to predict whiskey color and maturation outcomes based on sensor-tracked environmental and chemical variables through integrated machine learning, high-accuracy volume sensing, dielectric-based proof monitoring, and environmental data analysis to forecast how whiskey will age inside a barrel over time, and by leveraging real-time barrel data such as time, proof, volume, temperature, humidity, and evaporation rates, the AI model can accurately predict the final color, proof, and optimal aging duration for whiskey and other barrel-aged spirits, which can allow distilleries to reduce inconsistencies, improve yield management, and enhance quality control without relying on manual sampling or invasive testing.

  • Publication number: 20250244158
Abstract: A system for determining a fill level of at least one of a content within a container wherein the fill level of the at least one content is determined based on the reception of a time of return of a transmitted signals wherein the transmitted signals are frequency varying within a transmission window. The frequency variation may be continuous or patterned. The device herein disclosed is applicable to a wide spectrum of configurations to determine a content, whether liquid, mash or solid within the container wherein the container may be associated with a barrel or container associated with alcohol production, or containers involved in the retention of other types of materials or content, such as but not limited to, septic tanks, waste management systems, water towers, etc.

  • Publication number: 20250244159
Abstract: A system for measuring changes in a fluid stored within a container is disclosed. The system may include a radio-frequency sensing element disposed externally on the container and configured to generate a signal indicative of at least one dielectric property of the fluid, wherein the fluid undergoes composition-based or environment-driven changes due to interactions with the container. In some aspects, a processing component generates an output representative of at least one time-varying fluid characteristic. In some aspects, the container is a wooden barrel with an interior surface adapted to impart flavor or chemical changes to the fluid. In some aspects, the fluid is a beverage including at least one of wine, beer, and distilled spirits, with the time-varying characteristic including a fermentation parameter that changes over time. In some aspects, the at least one time-varying fluid characteristic of the fluid includes at least one of fluid level or fluid volume.

  • Patent number: 12228525
Abstract: Herein disclosed is estimating an alcohol content of a liquid within a barrel based on a determination of a change of at least one electrical characteristic between a transmitted signal and a received signal, wherein the change of at least one electrical characteristic may through the use of models determine an associated alcohol content of the liquid within the barrel. An overall alcohol content may be determined by accumulating a plurality of alcohol contents from a plurality of transmitting/receiving antenna positioned external to the barrel. An implementation may advantageously estimate alcohol content without affecting the internal ecosystem or contents of the barrel, improving product quality.

  • Patent number: 12117329
Abstract: The presented invention is a system, which may be attached to a face of a container, such as a barrel or a tank, that includes at least one antenna and an electronic system that causes the transmission of one or more signals in at least one frequency range, where the transmitted signals that are reflected off the fluid or liquid contained within the container are collected and evaluated by a method that determines a level of the fluid or liquid within the container based on the received reflections. The system and method further achieves technical advantages over the prior art as the invention disclosed remains external to the enclosed system (barrel, etc.) and does not affect the internal ecosystem or contents of the barrel.
