    Abstract: A composition is described which is useful in improving the adhesion of siccative organic coatings to metal surfaces. The composition generally comprises a liquid carrier, a borate composition which is the reaction product of at least one amino alcohol with boric acid or an analogue of boric acid, and, at least one organic carboxylic acid.
