  • Publication number: 20240361348
Abstract: Purifying target biomolecules, such as nucleic acids or proteins, from a biological source is a time intensive process and is typically performed by a skilled technician or scientist owing to the highly technical nature of the work. Systems, devices, and methods disclosed herein enable the automated bioprocessing and purification of target biomolecules from a biological source. For example, an instrument and disposable cartridge are provided for automatedly isolating and purifying nucleic acids (such as plasmid DNA from a bacterial culture) or for isolating protein from any biological sample. Such an exemplary instrument and cartridge can work in concert to timely release, mix, and move the target biomolecule and various reagents and buffers through a target biomolecule purification process, resulting in a purified target biomolecule with less manual oversight than traditional approaches.

  • Publication number: 20240311199
Abstract: A program code executing on a processing system includes one or more instructions each identifying a workload that includes a plurality of waves and each identifying resource allocations for the plurality of waves of the workgroup. In response to receiving an instruction identifying a workload and resource allocations for the plurality of waves of the workgroup, a processor allocates a first set of processing resources to a compute unit of the processor based on the resource allocations for the plurality of waves. The compute unit then performs operations for the workgroup using the allocated set of processing resources.

  • Patent number: 12083006
Abstract: A sealant delivery device includes a housing, a matrix container connected with a distal end of the housing and being moveable between closed and opened positions, and a matrix, such as a hemostatic substrate, disposed within the matrix container. The sealant delivery device includes a sealant dispensing system in fluid communication with the matrix container that is configured for dispensing a sealant onto the matrix disposed within the matrix container. An actuator is coupled with the sealant dispensing system and the matrix container. The actuator is engageable for opening the matrix container for exposing the matrix and expressing the sealant onto the matrix. A component of the matrix container may be used to press the matrix and sealant expressed onto the matrix against target tissue to control bleeding of the target tissue.

  • Patent number: 11930070
Abstract: Systems and methods for content storage and retrieval are disclosed herein for accessing portions of a file at a client device. A client device receives a request to access a file at the client device. The file includes file portions that are stored at a web-based storage system in communication with the client device via a network. The client device provides the web-based storage system with access to a metafile stored on the client device. The metafile includes an identifier for each of the file portions for the file and an indication of whether each of the file portions are already stored on the client device. In response to the web-based storage system accessing the metafile stored on the client device to identify a set of file portions that is not stored on the client device, the client device receives the identified set of file portions from the web-based storage system via the network.

  • Patent number: 10853493
Abstract: A system and method for detecting Trojans and other intermittent severe defects in a digital circuit design. A simulation of the digital circuit design results in a value change dump file, which is compiled to form a value change summary file containing counts of the numbers of value changes for the signals in the digital circuit design. A discriminative neural network analyzes the value change summary file to determine whether an intermittent severe defect is present. A corpus of digital circuit designs, with and without intermittent severe defects, is used to train the discriminative neural network. The training process may involve dimensionality reduction of the data, enlargement of the data set, and data compression using an autoencoder.

  • Patent number: 10422454
Abstract: A support coupling which provides a frangible point for a lighting fixture, and which prevents water from accumulating at the frangible point and from penetrating an inner chamber of the lighting fixture where electronic components are disposed includes an inner wall and an outer wall. The inner wall has a higher grade (i.e., is taller) than the outer wall. A space between the inner wall and the outer wall receives an extension column. Water running down the sides of the extension column is collected in the space and pours out of the coupling over the shorter outer wall before the water reaches the top of the inner wall.
