  • Publication number: 20240393377
Abstract: A system (60) that monitors and analyzes power consumption signals over time for household equipment (35). Equipment (35) may exhibit a representative operating signature. The system analytics may include determining a ‘normal’ operating signature for a piece of monitored equipment (35), which may include minimum and maximum expected ranges for different transition points or other characteristic points in the signature. The characteristic points may include points of minimum variability in magnitude. Based on monitoring the characteristic points, the system (60) may make a binary determination of “normal” or “abnormal.” That is, the system (60) may determine that an operational run of the equipment (35) is good or “potentially not good,” based on a comparison of the measured characteristics points to a normal operating signature. In response to a binary determination of abnormal, the system (60) may output a signal to alert user, a repair facility, or similar entity of the potential abnormal behavior.

  • Patent number: 12153444
Abstract: A technique relates to route planning. Points associated with a start location and a destination location are received. It is determined whether the points comprise one or more hard points, one or more soft points, or both. At least one obstruction to avoid is determined. A route is autonomously generated comprising the points and segments associated with the points, the segments comprising rhumb lines, great-circle arcs, or both. Responsive to the points comprising the one or more soft points, the at least one obstruction is avoided by permitting a distance associated with the one or more soft points to be reached and adding at least one free waypoint. Responsive to the points comprising the one or more hard points, the at least one obstruction is avoided by requiring the one or more hard points to be reached and adding the at least one free waypoint.

  • Publication number: 20240385228
Abstract: A power consumption monitoring device (120) that may be attached to any electrically powered equipment (102). In some examples, the device (120) may include a male and female electrical plug that may be inserted between the equipment (102) and line power (104). In other examples, one or both ends of the device (120) may be hard-wired to the equipment (102) and or to line power (104). The device (120) may include monitoring circuitry and a power cord “pigtail” with one or more wires shielded from the other wires to avoid canceling the inbound and outbound current. Also, part of the shielding (112), or other portion of the pigtail may act as an antenna to communicate between the monitoring circuitry and a gateway (130). The components of the device (120) of this disclosure may be completely implemented within the power cord, such that performance monitoring can be performed on the equipment (102) without the equipment (102) itself including a monitoring device.

  • Patent number: 12143237
Abstract: A building system of a building including one or more memory devices having instructions thereon, that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to receive a request to access a portion of a building graph of the building from a system, the building graph including a plurality of nodes and a plurality of edges, the plurality of nodes representing entities of the building and the plurality of edges representing relationships between the entities of the building. The instructions cause one or more processors to determine whether the system has access to the portion of the building graph based on a policy indicated by the plurality of nodes and edges of the building graph and provide the portion of the building graph to the system in response to a determination that the system has access to the portion of the building graph.

  • Publication number: 20240370006
Abstract: This disclosure creates a language that may describe how any type of equipment behaves. The scalable language may uniquely identify equipment and components of equipment. The language includes “words” comprising characters that can describe the sequence of operations of the equipment. The characters may describe characteristic signatures in power consumption signals of the equipment as well as components of the equipment over an operational cycle of the equipment. The characters, e.g., “glyphs” or “runes,” may use a scale-free format modeled after typography. These characters may be scaled to give different confidence levels when comparing the characters to monitored power consumption signals. The language also describes how the equipment transitions between events during the sequence of operation. A compiler may use this language to generate programming instructions that may cause processing circuitry to efficiently monitor equipment, including determining a state of health of the equipment.

Abstract: An inserter for treating glaucoma can comprise a housing, a needle, a plunger, a slider component, and a drive component. The drive component is disposed within a cavity of the housing and rotatable within the cavity to result in movement along a longitudinal axis of the inserter to the needle and the plunger upon rotation of the drive component. The slider component is coupled to the housing and slidable along an elongate groove of the drive component such that movement of the slider component along the axis rotates the drive component within the housing.

Transaction information is received over the encrypted channel, including an instrument identifier, wherein the instrument identifier is tokenized, a first amount for item acquisition by a first person, a second amount specified by the first person, and identification information of a second person. An identity of a user of a second device is authenticated to determine that the user is the second person and in response to such authentication, a user interface is provided, including the second amount and an identification of one or more entities is displayed. An instruction is received to distribute at least a portion of the second amount to specified entities. A secure communication is established via remote systems and a portion of the second amount is distributed among respective destinations associated with the specified entities.

  • Publication number: 20240335114
Abstract: A system and method for predicting an illness, death or other abnormal condition of an animal is disclosed. A record for the animal including a monitored temperature time series of monitored temperature values that are indicative of a temperature of the animal over a given time period is provided. The monitored temperature time-series is a temperature pattern that includes two or more cycles that are defined by a distance between a given peak of the temperature pattern and a successive peak of the temperature pattern, or a distance between a given valley of the temperature pattern and a successive valley of the temperature pattern. The monitored temperature time-series is analyzed. Based on the analysis, a prediction of the illness, death or other abnormal condition of the animal within a given time duration of the given time period is made. A user of the system is notified of the prediction.
