  • Patent number: 12235985
Abstract: Techniques described herein can allow users to share cached results of an original query with other users while protecting sensitive information. The techniques described herein can check whether the other users have access to the underlying data queried before allowing those users to see the stored query results. That is, the system may perform privilege checks on the shared users before giving them access to the stored query results but without having to re-run the original query.

  • Publication number: 20250035325
Abstract: A dehumidifier, which in some embodiments is a wall-mounted dehumidifier, comprising a cabinet, a compressor, an evaporator coil, a condenser coil, a fan, and a bi-polar ion generator. In some embodiments, the cabinet is configured to be installed between studs in a wall. The evaporator is installed within the cabinet above the compressor. The condenser, which may include two or more layers of microchannel condenser coils, is installed within the cabinet above the evaporator. The fan is installed between the evaporator and a back surface of the cabinet. The fan is configured to generate airflow that flows into the cabinet through the evaporator coil and out of the cabinet through the condenser coil. The airflow flows through the evaporator and condenser coils in order to dehumidify the air, and the bi-polar generator generates ions that purify the air, in part by reducing particles, including microbial particles.

  • Publication number: 20240321240
Abstract: A reed (10) for a reed musical instrument has (with reference to FIG. 2) a reed body (129) having a reed tip (114) adapted for engagement by a mouth of a player and a ligature engagement section adapted for engagement by a ligature of the reed musical instrument. A cantilever arm (117) is formed integrally with or affixed to the reed body (129) and extends from the reed body (129). A reflector (20) is supported by the cantilever arm (117) spaced apart from the reed body (129). Motion of the reed tip (114) is transmitted via the cantilever arm (117) to the reflector (20). The cantilever arm (117) is shaped and configured such that the transmitted motion is amplified so that any movement of the reed tip (114) results in a greater movement of the reflector (20).

  • Publication number: 20240269336
Abstract: Described herein are systems, methods, and apparatuses for implementing olfactory delivery in virtualized environments using an olfactory delivery engine. Mimicking physical odor sensations virtually can present users with a real-time odor synthesis that approximates what users would smell in a virtual environment, e.g., as they walk around in virtual reality. A novel Smell Engine is described herein which includes: (i) a Smell Composer framework that allows developers to configure odor sources in virtual space, (ii) a Smell Mixer that dynamically estimates the odor mix that the user would smell, based on diffusion models and relative odor source distances, and (iii) a Smell Controller that coordinates an olfactometer to physically present an approximation of the odor mix to the user's mask from a set of odorants channeled through controllable flow valves.

  • Patent number: 12032840
Abstract: Various embodiments include a computer memory system that dynamically adjusts a memory device performance feature, such as dynamic assist control, dynamic turbo mode, and/or the like, to improve the performance of memory devices in the memory system. The memory system enables or disables the memory device performance feature based on the operating voltage relative to a threshold voltage. If the operating voltage crosses the threshold voltage in one direction, then the memory device system enables the memory device performance feature. If the operating voltage crosses the threshold voltage in another direction, then the memory system disables the memory device performance feature. Various techniques enable the memory device performance feature to be employed even with complex integrated circuits that may include tens of thousands of devices that employ the memory device performance feature.
