    Abstract: A method for providing shipping container transport services is disclosed. The method allows the efficient and economic use, transport, and reuse and/or return of standard shipping containers. Users of the method include shipping service providers, shipping service users, and intermediaries whose resources and requirements are coordinated by a central system. Multiple factors including the transport requirements, location, time, cost, and urgency of shipping are tracked, compared, and evaluated to maximize usage and minimize non-usage storage and transport for the standard shipping containers. A device enabling the practice of the method is also disclosed.
