  • Publication number: 20150161557
Abstract: A device is configured to receive inventory records and field records. The inventory records may include information that identifies how a network is supposedly configured to provide a service to customers. The field record may include information that identifies how the network is actually configured to provide the service to customers. The device is configured to determine matching constraints and compare the inventory records to the field records to determine matching metrics. The device is configured to evaluate the matching constraints based on the matching metrics, and to determine reconciled records based on evaluating the matching metrics. A reconciled record may include a particular inventory record and a particular field record that matches the particular inventory record. The device is configured to update the inventory records based on the reconciled records.

  • Patent number: 7984153
Abstract: A system and method for analyzing domino impact of network growth including collecting, via a collector module, network information from one or more domains of a communication network. Also, the system and method may include processing, via an analytical module, the network information in order to determine a domino impact of growth of the communication network, wherein processing the network information comprises determining a number of lower network resources and a number of higher network resources within plurality types of networks in the one or more domains of the communication network and outputting, via a presentation module, the processed network information collected from the one or more domains of the communication network.

  • Publication number: 20100153157
Abstract: An approach is provided for network resource growth management. Utilization of a network resource that is hierarchically associated with one or more other network resources is determined. If the utilization exceeds a first predetermined threshold, a growth notification is triggered. The growth notification specifies additional network resources required to modify the utilization of the network resource according to a second predetermined threshold.
