Patent number: 11696774Abstract: An elongate endovascular element for crossing through an obstruction in a blood vessel comprises: a proximal section; a distal tip section of smaller diameter than the proximal section; and a distally-tapering intermediate section extending between the proximal and distal tip sections; wherein the tapered intermediate section has a length that is substantially ?/2 or a multiple of ?/2, where ? is a wavelength of a driving frequency that will produce longitudinal resonance in the element.Type: GrantFiled: November 6, 2020Date of Patent: July 11, 2023Assignee: Versono Medical LimitedInventors: Finbar Dolan, Hugh O'Donoghue, Ivan Mooney, Pat Connolly, Jim Smedley, Brian Tarpey

Patent number: 11660104Abstract: An endovascular apparatus for crossing through an obstruction in a blood vessel comprises: an elongate endovascular element such as a wire; an ultrasonic transducer, mechanically coupled to the endovascular element for ultrasonically exciting a distal tip portion thereof to facilitate the crossing through the obstruction, and one or more damping features, mechanically coupled to the endovascular element to attenuate lateral displacement of the endovascular element at positions away from the distal tip portion.Type: GrantFiled: November 6, 2020Date of Patent: May 30, 2023Assignee: Versono Medical LimitedInventors: Finbar Dolan, Hugh O'Donoghue, Ivan Mooney, Pat Connolly, Jim Smedley, Brian Tarpey

Publication number: 20230089070Abstract: An endovascular apparatus for crossing through an obstruction in a blood vessel comprises an elongate endovascular element such as a wire. The element has a proximal section, a distal tip section of smaller diameter than the proximal section; and a distally-tapering intermediate section extending between the proximal and distal tip sections . The apparatus comprises an ultrasonic transducer, mechanically coupled to the proximal section of the element for ultrasonically activating the element, hence exciting the distal tip section to facilitate crossing through the obstruction. A catheter surrounds the element, leaving at least part of the distal tip section of the element protruding distally beyond a distal end of the catheter.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 7, 2022Publication date: March 23, 2023Applicant: Versono Medical LimitedInventors: Finbar DOLAN, Hugh O'Donoghue, Brian Tarpey, Alan Corby, Dion Guilfoyle, Ben Kinsella, Pat Connolly, Ivan Mooney, Mary O'Donoghue, Maire Kane, Jim Smedley

Patent number: 5809481Abstract: A method and system for advertising that provides advertisers with a marketing database listing contact information for all potential consumers who received a promotional item from that advertiser and decided to retain the promotional item for future use. The promotional item is a tag bearing an advertisement, a contact identifier and a unique tag identifier. After receiving the tag from an advertiser, each recipient is instructed to attach the tag to a personal property item and to register the item with a processing facility that, with the use of an information storage and retrieval system, will create a master database comprising each recipient's contact information and tag identifier. The master database can be used to arrange for the return of a lost personal property item bearing a registered tag. The master database can also be sorted and contact information can be extracted therefrom to generate a marketing database for transmittal to advertisers.Type: GrantFiled: August 8, 1996Date of Patent: September 15, 1998Assignee: David BaronInventors: David Baron, Brian Tarpey
