  • Patent number: 8690782
Abstract: A system and method for storing imaging information of multiple receive events and/or for generating a plurality of beams from a single receive event are disclosed. A transducer has a plurality of elements and is operable to receive a first acoustic signal from a first receive event and a second acoustic signal from a second receive event. A memory is in communication with the transducer to receive element data from the plurality of elements. The memory is operable in a first section and a second section. The memory is further operable to store first and second imaging data in the first and second sections, respectively. The first and second imaging data is based on the first and second acoustic signals, respectively.
