  • Patent number: 6747211
Abstract: An electrical compression connector including a first section having a first conductor receiving channel extending into a top side of the connector; and a second section integrally formed with the first section. The second section has a second and a third conductor receiving channel extending into opposite respective second and third lateral sides of the connector. The second conductor receiving channel has opposing concave surfaces having different shapes.

  • Publication number: 20030148670
Abstract: An electrical compression connector including a shell, a wedge and a terminal pin. The wedge is sized and shaped to be inserted into the shell to wedge conductors against opposite sides of the shell. The terminal pin includes a first section and a second section. The first section is sized and shaped to be inserted between the shell and the wedge. The second section includes a conductor receiving area which is sized and shaped to be compressed onto a conductor.

  • Patent number: 6552271
Abstract: An electrical compression connector including a first section having a main conductor receiving channel extending into a top side of the connector; and a second section integrally formed with the first section. The second section has three tap conductor receiving channels. A first one of the tap channels extends into a first lateral side of the connector. Second and third ones of the tap channels extend into a second lateral side of the connector. The second section has a bottom cantilevered leg with a curved downward and laterally outward extending portion and a laterally outward extending substantially straight portion extending to a distal end of the leg.

  • Patent number: 6538204
Abstract: An extruded one-piece electrical compression connector having a general U-shaped top section forming a first conductor receiving channel and a bottom section having two second conductor receiving channels extending into respective opposite lateral sides of the bottom section. Portions of the bottom section extend laterally outward at a lateral side aperture into each of the two second conductor receiving channels. The portions deform to close the lateral side apertures at a start of compression of the connector.

  • Patent number: 6525270
Abstract: An electrical compression connector adapted to be deformed in a crimping device. It includes a body of compressive material. The connector has a central body member having top and bottom portions and two side portions. At least one pair of opposed parallel arms extend from the top or bottom portions of the central body member. Each pair of arms define a U shape opening adapted to allow for the inclusion of conductors therein. At least one of the side portions includes at least one side opening to allow for the inclusion of conductors. Each of the side openings includes an inner surface having both a curved surface and a substantially straight linear surface. When a compressive force is applied by the crimping device to the connector, the connector body compresses, thereby compressing the connector body around the conductors. The conductors are completely and firmly secured within each of the openings whereby all portions of the conductors remain positioned in the openings during crimping.
