  • Publication number: 20240071593
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that provide smart alerts to users, e.g., alerts to users about diabetic states that are only provided when it makes sense to do so, e.g., when the system can predict or estimate that the user is not already cognitively aware of their current condition, e.g., particularly where the current condition is a diabetic state warranting attention. In this way, the alert or alarm is personalized and made particularly effective for that user. Such systems and methods still alert the user when action is necessary, e.g., a bolus or temporary basal rate change, or provide a response to a missed bolus or a need for correction, but do not alert when action is unnecessary, e.g., if the user is already estimated or predicted to be cognitively aware of the diabetic state warranting attention, or if corrective action was already taken.

  • Patent number: 10439194
Abstract: A battery terminal adapter providing support for a plurality of wires, allowing several wires to be connected simultaneously and in parallel to a single, threaded battery electrode or terminal, such as a positive or negative threaded electrode of a vehicle battery. For this purpose, the battery terminal adapter includes an adapter body having a threaded battery terminal receiving cavity, two or more wire-receiving holes and two or more fastener bores in spatial communication with a respective one of the wire-receiving holes. The wire-receiving holes are in electrical communication with the battery terminal receiving cavity so that all electrical wires connected to the wire-receiving holes are powered by the battery.

  • Patent number: 10115955
Abstract: A battery terminal adapter providing support for a plurality of wires, allowing several wires to be connected simultaneously and in parallel to a single battery electrode or terminal, such as the positive or negative electrode of a vehicle battery. For this purpose, the battery terminal adapter includes an adapter body having clamping arms arranged around a battery terminal receiving cavity in which the battery terminal is to be inserted. Wire-receiving holes are provided on both ends of the arms, i.e. on the free end of the arms and on the end opposing the free end. The holes are in electrical communication with the battery terminal receiving cavity so that all electrical wires connected to the wire-receiving holes are powered by the battery. Clean and safe connection of a plurality of electrical wires is achieved by having the wire-receiving holes arranged on opposite sides of the arms.

  • Publication number: 20070248434
Abstract: A bonding washer for making electrical connection between two metal pieces that are to be mechanically fastened together. The washer, to be interposed between the two metal pieces, is constructed so as to fasten to one of the pieces before the two pieces are joined. Teeth on the washer, positioned at right angles to the plane of the washer, are forced into each of the two metal pieces when the fastener is tightened, making electrical connection between the two metal pieces.

  • Publication number: 20070056172
Abstract: An insolation survey device consisting of a panoramic head mounted on an additional rotational stage. In operation, the entire assembly can be leveled. The additional rotational stage then allows the panoramic head to be aligned to north without affecting the level. The panoramic head accepts a digital camera as attachment. Pictures taken at intervals can be combined into a panorama and analyzed for shading factor.
