  • Publication number: 20070198247
Abstract: In an embodiment, a sentence is created that describes a walk of a graph. The graph includes a set of nodes and a set of edges that are incident to the nodes. The sentence includes label words that describe the nodes and relationship words that describe the edges. The walk is an alternating sequence of a subset of the nodes and of the edges. Each of the edges in the walk is incident to two of the nodes that precede and follow the respective edge. The sentence is created by determining a parent node associated with a selected label word, determining the child nodes of the parent node, determining the edges that are incident to the parent nodes and the child nodes, determining relationship words that describe the edges that are incident to the parent nodes and the child nodes, and determining child label words that describe the child nodes. A selected relationship word and a selected child label word are then added to the sentence. In this way, a walk of the graph may be more easily understood.

  • Publication number: 20070064415
Abstract: A portable light is provided having a reflector assembly configured to create multiple modes of light reflection. The reflector assembly surrounds a light source and has first and second reflectors that together define a substantially continuous reflective surface. The second reflector is mounted for axial movement relative to the first reflector. Thus, different modes of light reflection can be produced. In an exemplary embodiment, the second reflector is disposed within a central opening defined by the first reflector, and the reflectors combine to define a substantially parabolic reflective surface, with the light source disposed at a focal point.

  • Publication number: 20070024068
Abstract: A locking device is provided for preventing an outside door handle assembly, having a handle, a stem extending out from the handle, and a counterweight operably connected between the handle and a release rod, from activating the release rod in response to a motor vehicle impact. The locking device includes a catch fixedly secured to the counterweight and engageable with the stem in response to the motor vehicle impact in order to prevent the handle from activating the release rod.

  • Publication number: 20060235614
Abstract: According to one embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus for automatic identification of celestial bodies comprises an imager and logic encoded in media. The imager is operable to accept incoming light from celestial bodies and produce a digital image. The logic encoded in media is operable to identify centroids of the celestial bodies within the digital image, and identify the celestial bodies by comparing angles derived from the centroids with catalogued values. The imager and the logic encoded in media are contained in a first enclosure. The first enclosure is sized to be held in a hand of a user or in a telescope mount.
