In one specific embodiment, this invention relates to the acceleration of nucleic acid hybridization by heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins ?hnRNPs!. In another specific embodiment, this invention relates to the acceleration of nucleic acid hybridization by a cationic detergent.
