  • Publication number: 20240111952
Abstract: Embodiments regard generating a requirements statement model. A method can include extracting, from a requirements document, a requirement statement, tagging each word of the requirements statement with a corresponding part of speech tag, identifying dependencies between words and types of dependencies between each word of the requirements statement and associating types of dependencies with each word, generating respective meta-tags for each word of the requirements statement based on the part of speech tag and dependencies, each meta-tag including the parts of speech and type of dependency for each word, identifying, based on the meta-tags and the dependencies, a tree of trees that represent the structure of the requirements statement, and populating the requirements statement model that maps to the identified tree with words of the requirements statement.

  • Patent number: 10769552
Abstract: Mechanisms are provided for generating an answer to an input question. An input question is received and a set of candidate answers is generated along with, for each candidate answer in the set of candidate answers, a corresponding selection of one or more selected evidence portions from a corpus of information providing evidence in support of the candidate answer being a correct answer for the input question. The candidate answers are ranked based on an application of a justifying passage model (JPM) to the selected evidence portions for each of the candidate answers in the set of candidate answers. The JPM identifies whether a candidate answer is justified by a selected evidence passage corresponding to the candidate answer. A candidate answer is output as the correct answer for the input question based on the ranking of the candidate answers.

  • Patent number: 10354078
Abstract: An approach is provided in which a knowledge manager generates a knowledge structure that includes security annotation tokens and term tokens. Each of the security annotation tokens are stored in a parallel field and align to at least one of the term tokens. The knowledge manager matches security policies corresponding to a search request to one or more of the security annotation tokens and, in turn, generates search results based upon obfuscation of one or more of the term tokens aligned to the matched security annotation tokens.

  • Publication number: 20170140304

  • Publication number: 20160217209
Abstract: A mechanism is provided in a data processing system for determining source authority for an answer to a question. The mechanism receives an input question from a user interface and determines a set of answers to the input question from a corpus of information. The corpus of information comprises a plurality of sources of information. For a given answer in the set of answers, the mechanism identifies a given source of a supporting passage. The mechanism determines an authority score of the given source for the input question. The mechanism presents the set of answers to the user interface based on the authority score for the given source.
